The Drumming Snipe is a contemporary Pub nestled in the village of Mayford, between Woking and Guildford. Offering a warm and relaxing atmosphere for you to enjoy the perfect mid week meal, a delicious Sunday roast or a Friday night catch up with a great selection of cask ales, wines and cocktails to choose from.
Guests are invited to dine in our quirky horse trailers, covered and heated terrace or feast in our exquisite dining room but most of all – to enjoy our great quality menu, simply prepared.

    I would recommend this restaurant we enjoyed the food and the service. The only thing we felt that could be better is the seating we would nave preferred a better outlook.

    Fish Friday menu ( with free glass of fizz with the fish dish) is really excellent. Service of highest quality despite being pretty busy

    It was the first visit for my family. All vegetarian and all were impressed with the Vegan Burger. Delicious and they have consumed many. This was the best.

    Sadly rather disappointing. Booked early dinner Sunday roast at 5pm. Most of the sides looked like they were from lunch, very dried up cauliflower cheese, thin gravy and overcooked veg. Roast beef was over cooked, despite being told we could have it rare / pink, which is why we opted for it over the pork or alternative. Have been here several times the past couple of years but this was the worst food we have experienced. It was Mother’s Day, so clearly busy, but think we will avoid coming back as other places now offer better food and value.

    We had a lovely time today - the food was amazing and reasonably priced. We were made very welcome along with our dog. We look forward to visiting again soon!
