   Outstanding food and service. One of our favorite places in Sanford. I highly recommend the mussels and homemade chicken dip as starters.

   Limited menu but food was very good except for the muscles which were very gritty . The tuna taco's & mahi we're both excellent.

   The food was really great although the menu is extremely limited. Dishes were well executed. Only part that fell a little short was the service....it was good but the gentleman seemed like he was new to service work. Not a deal breaker at all so we'll be back the next time we're in that area. It's a great place when you're in Sanford and wanting something better than just bar food.

   The food was excellent but the noise was extreme. If I go back, I will insist on eating outside to avoid the noise.

   Ordered the filet, the part that was edible was good. Large portion of grissell and fat. The bar charged extra for mixer in drink. Ordered gin and tonic... additional charge for the tonic. Bartender was questioned and later removed the additional charge. Server was extremely rushed and spent little time checking on us. The rest of the meals were ok. Disappointed at the quality of the filet with the price we payed. Will think twice about returning!!

   Second visit, won't be the last. Food is the star here, with service also exceeding expectations. We've been lucky both visits to have the chef's wife as our server. She's enthusiastic, professional and has perfect timing as to when to visit the table. My wife had the filet. Cooked as advertised (medium rare to medium), it was full of flavor and almost fork tender. I had the short ribs which were meaty, flavorful and paired well with the risotto. We split a Caesar salad to start and brought our own wine. We always appreciate a restaurant willing to provide a corkage policy, and return to those restaurants frequently.

   OpenTable's noise level selection says "vibrant". There is no choice for noisy. Beat expectations on food and service, but you wouldn't want to go here if conversation was a significant need in the experience. My companion and I couldn't hear each other even though we were seated at a relatively small table for two. We'll certainly try it again, but I hope they figure out a way to block the dining room from the bar. And while the food was outstanding, I worry about the limited menu.

   Another fabulous meal at the District. Tuna tacos were fabulous and healthy! Wine would have been a good addition but I had to go back to work. Try this place it's great.

   Incredible quality of food, reasonable prices, excellent service...couldn't be happier with my meal - the mahi. My son loved it too. Hubby had the pork chop and said it was the best. My son ordered the filet and loved it. About time downtown Sanford got a place like this.

    The Chef really knows what they are doing. Open only three months at the time, The District Eatery came as a pleasant surprise to me and five other foodies when we popped in on a Friday night. We will definitely be back. From the drinks to the dessert everything was creative and perfectly executed. Just eat it all. :)
