   Pleasant experience in a stately hotel. Food was good perhaps more selections and higher quality for the price.

   The food and service was wonderful. Everyone in our party really enjoyed what we ordered. The waitress was very attentive. As a vegan I asked if they could accommodate me and the chef made me a beautiful and delicious dish. He even came to the table to explain it.

   Davidson Lobby Bar was a lovely experience. I found this restaurant through open table to meet with a colleague of mine for lunch. I wasn't familiar with restaurants in the York area. While the menu is not extensive, it was delicious! I enjoyed the special, which was ravioli, shrimp, and asparagus in a cream sauce. The apple dumpling was also fantastic and just the right amount of sweet. If you are looking for a quiet lunch spot, this is the place.

   Everything is great- the food(salmon tonight for us) was absolutely great- great taste- great presentation- and it is a great atmosphere. Yes- it is a little active at times- but, it is a lobby restaurant! But it is just part of what makes the atmosphere unique. Service was great, friendly and interactive. Great evening all around.

   We at there on Valentine’s Day. We had reservations, yet upon arriving to the restaurant, we were seated up the stairs in a hallway, on the path to the restrooms. While I can understand that holidays can offer a challenge, it would have been nice to know upon making the reservation that we would be seated by ourselves on the outskirts of the restaurant, away from the ambience. Aside from our disappointment in the seating location, we enjoyed every part of our meal, and the service was quite good. But then the check came, and we were informed that “because it was busy,” we were automatically being charged an 18% tip. So in addition to being seated in a hallway due to the holiday crowd, we were hit with an automatic tip, also due to the holiday crowd. The seating location was frustrating, but the quality of the food more than compensated for that; but having the audacity to hit us with an automatic tip, while blaming the crowd size, was absurd. Incidentally, that cost our server some money, as I always tip more than 20%; but I was so flabbergasted at that point that I did not tip anything more that the 18%.

   Great meal as always…. A little loud due to a wedding upstairs but it was fun and lively.

   Great service- amazing dinner entrees and dessert. Pork Shank was tender, generous, and moth watering, presented in a lovely way with sweet potato mad, charred Brussels, and a nice complementary sauce. Would definitely order again- and will return to try some lunch options too. A bit noisy with holiday gatherings and a Saturday night wedding reception- to be expected- not bothersome in any way for our party but your mileage may vary.

    I'll start with the positive. The venue is beautiful in downtown York, conveniently located within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Our waitress was attentive and communicated well. Drinks were wonderful. We stayed the night at the hotel and our room was large, clean and comfortable. Support staff were very helpful. Negatives include no valet parking, many of the limited menu items were 86'd, we don't eat meat leaving us with a salad and french fries, over an hour wait for food, and only the fries were comped so I really didn't feel our meal was worth $110 + tip. We left tired and hungry:(
