   Mid week birthday celebration. Nice pub, staff are friendly. The dining room is fairly small with no soft furnishings and once full is quite noisy. My starter (fish goujons) and main (steak) were lovely, I wasn't over keen on the pepper sauce but it came in a separate dish so that was fine. I found the chunky chips a bit dry, if we go back I would try the skinny fries option. Unfortunately we ended up leaving rather hurriedly as my husband was badly affected by a strong perfume worn by one of the other diners, so I cannot comment on the desserts.

   The food, service and venue were equally amazing. Our rib of beef was cooked to perfection.

   The only fault with our booking through this way we did not know Tuesday's were film night And the restaurant was being used for that.

   Quirky pub, looks can be deceptive, very odd style of service, Megan was lovely, fantastic food, not too expensive though

   Went to for Sunday lunch and there was a pork and beef option but my friend only eats chicken. The team spoke to the chef who cooked a chicken breast for my friend. Great customer service.

   A great seasonal menu always awaits, great selection of wines and ales with the bonus of some interesting cocktails too. its always difficult to choose from the small but perfectly formed menu. We were taking some friends that had not been to The Crown before, we are always greeted with a smile and nothing is ever to much trouble. Scotch egg was fantastic combined with the home made ketchup pork belly was beautifully prepared and tasted as good as it looked. Sirloin was perfect.... fantastic chefs and front of house staff fun, attentive but not intrusive. A great balance, keep up the good work. Highly recommend

   Booked lunch at the Crown to meet friends as a convenient location approximately midway between where we both live, and we were very pleased at our choice. The staff were courteous and helpful in all respects. The food was very good, everybody was very pleased with their choices. Service was excellent, and the overall ambience very relaxing. Definitely one we will keep on our list.

   We dine at the Crown quite often as it is within a short walking distance. This means we have tried all the dishes on the menu and have not been disappointed. Being regulars, we know the staff well and always get a warm welcome and notice that other diners receive a similar level of friendliness and attention. They also operate a loyalty card scheme, which is quite generous for us regular diners.

   The food was good and nicely presented. However, there was little in the way of vegetarian options. The starter was cheese and the main was cheese souffle - not a great choice, especially given the prices!
