With beautiful surroundings, and a stylish interior, The Cowper Arms in Hertford is a classic meets modern pub, a perfect setting for any occasion. Our chefs take pride in preparing fresh, delicious tasting food using the finest ingredients. Signature dishes include spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit, slow cooked pork belly with seared scallops, salmon supreme served with thyme-roasted butternut squash, and our home-made British beef burger. For a lighter bite, our spiralised carrot salad and Mediterranean mezze are both delectable, or for some sweet indulgence our melting golden chocolate bomb with caramel ice cream is sure to please!

    The food and atmosphere are always good at the coppers. Nice for a pop in or a family get together. The staff are always friendly.

    Very nice Valentines menu at a reasonable cost. Service was pleasant but not very efficient (it took 3 requests to get our water delivered). Food was interesting and well executed.
