   Coolinary is an attractive restaurant, but not a place to go for quiet conversation. The wait staff is attentive, but a bit impatient, especially for first-time customers who need time to peruse the menu. The food was good but not outstanding. It was bland to my taste. We had the schnitzel and the chicken, and in both dishes the meat was overcooked and a bit dry. We did not try any of the vegetarian offerings, which looked very appetizing. Given the number and variety of restaurants in downtown Sarasota, I would probably not come again.

   Wow, fantastic meal and lovely service from our waitress Marina. We had the cauliflower patties as an app, crispy with a tasty yogurt dipping sauce. On to the pork schnitzel with potato salad (perfectly cooked) and the chicken paprikash (perfectly seasoned) for dinner, followed by an amazing 8 layer cake for dessert. Plus delish cocktails and wines paired with cocktails he meal. You’ve GOTTA try this place when in Sarasota!!!

   I was disappointed in goulash--it was too watery, more like vegetable soup. Waitress forgot to put in the order for goulash; when it didn't arrive with other appetizers we inquired where it was. It wasn't hot when served. The shrimp and scallops were very good. My husband tripped and fell when leaving the raised dining-room floor. Two men ran to his rescue to help him get up. Although we mentioned it was a birthday when making the reservation, nothing special was done to acknowledge occasion.

   No service after 10 minutes @ the uncrowded bar....bartender did not even look up. Bread was like hockey pucks, small piece of snapper was overcooked and tasteless, beef was overcooked & tough, manager had no reaction to our complaints. Save your money & go elsewhere. Plenty of good options in Sarasota.

   The night we ate at Coolinary, there was a jazz event that completely swamped the place. So our review is probably not of a typical night. Even with the mob the food was excellent, the service as attentive as possible and the restaurant is quite attractive

    Our dining experience was outstanding. The food was fabulous. We sampled several of the starters with a Hungarian twist. Everything was superb. The server went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and had everything we needed. The owner came over to the table to greet us - an extra special touch. We had an wonderful dining experience and I highly recommend this restaurant.
