   Beautiful building and views. Staff was very accommodating. We had reservations for 11am. Buffet was not ready until 11:20-25. Many of the items were cold or lukewarm (eggs, soup). Buffet was very overpriced. Very disappointed.

   Open table is wrong right now and you can make reservations later by calling. They aren’t booked up and are open till 8

   4 of us ate appetizers for lunch. All delicious! Went back for dinner - 3 of us had bbq ribs and I had salmon-oh my all was delicious! Next morning had the American breakfast and it was great. Our waitress-Alva- was the best!!

   Our reservation was for 4:45pm. We arrived early at 4:04pm thinking we would just relax and have a cocktail. The hostess informed us that they had decided to close early at 5pm. She said she'd been trying to call. I checked my phone to see an unknown number but no vm. We thought maybe we could just eat early so we followed her into a virtually empty restaurant. We chose a table by the fireplace. She said it wasn't wiped down. We then asked her to do so and she sullenly complied. We ordered drinks and reviewed the menu. One of the two parties at other tables left and only another couple remained. As they left, we realized our presense wasn't particularly welcome, we decided to finish our drinks and go elsewhere. Tried to leave the $20.20 on the table and we were informed they were cashless. Not a great experience.

   Outstanding food and service. Fried green tomatoes are great and well served. Gloria is the best!

   Went to commons during a work retreat at the Stone Mountain resort. I suppose it was off season and there was not alot of people there. It was a Tuesday. One server. Gloria was very nice. I ended up making a reservation two nights before because i thought it was going to be busy. I believe their online menu did not match what they were serving. The online menu is what caught my eye for the decision to go to this restaurant. My coworker and i stayed anyway. The view was great. I had my heart set on the prime rib but i ended up getting the rib eye. The mushroom glaze was delicious. My steak was a tad bit underdone but overall meal was good.

   We dined just before they closed on a Monday at 5:30. Very few people in the restaurant. Had a beautiful view of the lake from our table. We were greeted in a relaxed and friendly manner by the host and had really terrific service from Gloria, our waitress. The men ordered the ribs and they were very pleased with the tenderness and flavor. I had the arugula salad with grilled salmon. Loved the salmon but the salad had raw onions rather than mild pickled onions ( which they have had on this salad in the past) and not enough of the feta and pecans for the volume of arugula. So I enjoyed it but left most of the arugula on the plate. My sister ordered the chicken and pineapple kabobs and it all looked grilled to perfection. She loved it. This is a restaurant that serves simple fare , has a lovely view and great service.

   The food was horrible. Waffles were hard as rocks. Some of the burners not on so food was cold. The beef was tough…server gave slice piece that been sitting under a heat lamp and was not moist. The only two nice experience was our server Gloria. Each time we had an issue with food she was quick to resolve. The ambience and view were great. Will not chose the Commons for special occasion like Mother’s Day again.
