The Victorian-era Colonial Room rests at the Historic Menger Hotel in downtown San Antonio, next door to the Alamo. It serves to hotel patrons and welcomes outside customers for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant also has a full bar.
Come visit us enjoy our spectacular breakfast and lunch options or just stopping by for our signature mango ice cream. Valet parking available.

                                                                                            Everyone was very helpful and the amesphere is very relaxing . I enjoyed the garden, it remind me of home. Our waiter was very nice . The food was really good.

                                                                                            Beautiful space. Had a lovely brunch with my sister there. The food, however, was not up to the pricing . . . it wasn't bad but it just wasn't at the level of the pricing. Good experience overall. Would recommend.

It is not at all well-communicated any where that I recall that this restaurant is within the Menger Hotel. None of the six San Antonio residents that I asked, on the street, and nearby to the hotel-and-restaurant- had ever heard of the Colonial Room nor any idea, then, of it being inside the hotel.

                                                                                            I expected there to be the lunch menu posted online. We arrived to find only a lunch buffet is being served. The two hot entrees were fish and roasted chicken breasts. The fish was eatable. The chicken was not. With such amazing surroundings you would assume they would serve better food.

                                                                                            We were staying at the Menger and we’re looking forward to eating Sunday Brunch on our last day. We made a reservation easily on open table since the restaurant is only open certain hours. The restaurant is beautiful. I was surprised the variety of food was limited, even on the basics like bread and potatoes. One type of potato, which was dried out roasted potatoes and one basket of old hard rolls. Some of warmers must have not been working properly because a lot of the food was just lukewarm at best. We had an early reservation and the food was not fresh and dry. They did have an egg bar and someone cutting fresh prime rib and those were tasty. The dessert table was lovely. Honestly, I would never recommend or go back. I was very disappointed.
