With beautiful surroundings, and a stylish interior, The Cliff in Poole is a classic meets modern pub, a perfect setting for any occasion. Our chefs take pride in preparing fresh, delicious tasting food using the finest ingredients. Signature dishes include spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit, slow cooked pork belly with seared scallops, salmon supreme served with thyme-roasted butternut squash, and our home-made British beef burger. For a lighter bite, our spiralised carrot salad and Mediterranean mezze are both delectable, or for some sweet indulgence our melting golden chocolate bomb with caramel ice cream is sure to please!

My vegetarian bake was unusual and I appreciated having an original dish instead of the sad old 'favourites' usually on a menu. Hans was our waiter - communicative, polite but engaging and offered advice and options.

The staff were very helpful and obliging and I could not fault any of them. I would say some of the fabric chairs outside need a clean or renewing. The roast dinners were good, slightly flavourless but this is better than too much salt which is often a case. The fish and chips were fine, much as you would expect from a pub lunch, we would go back.
