   The Chequers at Burcot is a great place for lunch or supper. Lovely ambience in old thatched inn. Very welcoming staff. Good choice on menu including imaginative options. Everything delicious and staff ensure you have everything you need. You end up feeling you have had a special evening (or lunch).

   Always greeted with a smile. Food was good as usual staff friendly & service was impeccable. Love visiting.

   Food was average was nothing wrong with it but for the price you expect a lot better than average. We wa the only 4 people in there at 5.15 on a Saturday evening so that says a lot. It’s a shame as the menu is good but it’s no better than miller and carter and miller and carter is a lot cheaper

   Fantastic food, friendly and respectful seater and service is fast. You get what you pay for, slightly more expensive than your average but food is very good.

   Lovely Mothers Day meal - portions were very generous and despite best efforts couldn’t finish everything! The roast beef was fantastic and particular highlight was the cauliflower cheese puree. All mums were given a gift bag of flowers and a card which was really thoughtful. Staff were friendly and polite on what is a very busy and stressful day for all restaurants. Will definitely be back.

   Food was nice enough and service was friendly and good but portions were small and quite overpriced. It was almost empty on a Friday night and I suspect the pricing may have something to do with it.
