   Food was cold, small portions and very expensive for what we had. My £25 fillet steak meal although tasty was small and cold. My daughter had a burger and chips off the adult menu at £13.50 but it was more like a child’s portion. All in all not a great experience for my daughters birthday and I won’t be visiting again.

   Very odd vibe from the waiting staff. Was it because I had a child with me? Who knows. It seem that my being there was inconvenient to them. If you don’t want children in your pub. Don’t provide high chairs & a kids menu.

   Booked for family get together for Christmas Eve, 3 days after the booking with open table the restaurant calls to say they couldn’t honour the booking as he was double booked and blamed open table!! Not sure who’s to blame but will think twice when using either one against!! WARNING, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

   After booking a table at the Castell Mynach On Christmas Eve for lunch via Open Table, we were told on our arrival that they did not receive the booking!!! I had booked the table for a specific time as we had plans later on. However there was no table available!!! I was extremely disappointed as it was Christmas Eve and I had planned a nice family meal. I was left with two hungry children and I couldn’t get a table anywhere else nearby without waiting a considerable time. I showed the staff at the Castell Mynach my booking confirmation but they emphasised that they definitely did not receive it. Clearly this needs to be looked into as the Open Table booking system does not work. As a result my family’s Christmas Eve plans were ruined !!!

   I went for lunch in this pub for my birthday with three of my friends. We were not in any hurry and had a very enjoyable meal. There only appeared to be two members of staff serving and in a very busy restaurant and serving at the bar they did an excellent job . As we were not in any hurry it suited us and to be fair the two people serving did very well. I have been to this pub on quite a few occasions and always enjoyed the food

   Disappointed with the interior, looked tired, dirty carpet. Pub food, which wasn't very good, at restaurant prices.
