   Had an excellent meal. Lamb was succulent and tender, no complaints at all.

   We had a lovely lunch. The dogs were made to feel very welcome. It was busy so noise levels were as expected. The food was served quickly and was hot. The booking was simple. I phoned to make it slightly earlier than original time and this was no bother at all. All the staff were polite and helpful. I’m looking forward to going again so I hope the standard doesn’t slip as we have experienced on the past. I would highly recommend it for Sunday Lunch .

   When we got there after booking a table for 3 they then they tried to put us on a table for 1 and then we said it was not suitable for 3 people they put us on a table that was in the game room not the restaurant like we booked for but the food made up for that but at as we were finishing our meal a group of young people decided it would be funny to point a snooker cue at my son's back as he finishing his meal and thought it was funny in stead of being polite and asking him to move

   A busy sunny Sunday at the Burrator so we had booked a table in anticipation of this. They were a bit short on staff which was explained to us but once we had ordered our roast arrived quickly. At £20 we felt it was a little on the expensive side for the portion size - beef was really nice but had a lot of fat on it around the edge and slices were noticeably thinner than previously. Mains were averaging around £16.50 upwards and desserts £8.00. Staff were as always welcoming and chatty. We love going to the Burrator after a dog walk but will probably give the roast a miss in future.

   A great choice of fabulous food. We enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal from the ‘supper club’ menu. Portions were very generous.

   I had a deeply disappointing experience celebrating a birthday meal at this restaurant. We arrived for a Sunday roast towards the end of service, only to be served a meal missing half the items listed on the menu. The only green vegetable provided was a handful of barely edible green beans—there was no cabbage, no roast carrots, and no creamed leeks. At no point were we informed that the kitchen had run out of key elements of the dish; had we been told, we could have ordered something else. Instead, we were charged the full price, as if they hoped we wouldn’t notice. To make matters worse, when booking online, the restaurant specifically asked if the meal was for a special occasion—but this was never acknowledged during our visit. I called the next day to speak with the manager, but they were unavailable. I was assured they would get back to me, yet after a week, I have received no response. While the food we did receive tasted good, I can’t help but feel short-changed. What was meant to be a celebration turned into a disappointment, and the lack of communication and customer service only made it worse.

    Food was delicious but service was slow. I appreciate it was busy on a Sunday but we were served our mains, no one came to check on us and our table wasn’t cleared until after an hour we went to the bar to ask for the dessert menu. Even then we waited another 15 minutes to again have to go to the bar to order. By this time it was quiet in the bar area. Shame as I would have gone back for the food but not the service!
