   Lovely food - we had the sirloin steak and pork loin. Totally recommend. Fabulous venue by the river too!

   We booked a late lunch/early dinner on Good Friday for 4 adults and 2 kids. We've previously dined here a few years ago and the food was fabulous but unfortunately this time we were left feeling a disappointed. The staff were attentive and really friendly and did inform us as they were busy there would be a bit of a wait for our food which was fine but the inside of the pub was fairly empty. As expected, there was about a 30/40 minute wait but sadly when the food arrived one of the adult dinners - the fish cake - was inedible as was too dry and was sent back. Having waited so long for the initial dish it was too late to order another and wait. The pork dish was very bland and the kid's chicken goujons were overcooked but my daughter was so hungry she ate them anyway. Two of us had the cajun chicken burgers which were tasty enough It's a real shame as we were really looking forward to this meal after our last experience and it's in such a beautiful location but not sure we'd return again when there's so many dining options on offer in Windsor.

   Waited over an hour for main course. Chicken super tough, like it has been refried. V loud and not at all pleasant for a family meal out. V disappointing.

   This was the first time in Windsor meeting up with relatives from Ireland who were visiting the area. We were warmly welcomed and as it was a glorious day we sat outside by the river. The views were outstanding. The food was great and good value but the staff, in particular two girls whose names I did not take, were fantastic. They had a great sense of humour and professionalism - you are lucky to have them on your staff, they are a credit to you. I would highly recommend the Boatman to anyone and everyone.

   Disappointing, food was warm but not hot,Sunday roast reheated, poor really,I was asked if I was a complainer which I’m not, desert was taken off the bill which was odd as it was the main course that was the problem!!

    The location is great as by the river. The young lady who served us was lovely and very helpful. The food was average except for the lamb shoulder which was delicious. There was nothing special about the chicken or beef burgers just meat in between buns, no added extras. The fish and chips were the same but slightly better than the burgers. Would definitely only recommend the lamb shoulder. Ordered two desserts the apple crumble which was okay but stingy on the custard asked for extra which definitely wasn’t. The other dessert was chocolate panna cotta which was nothing like it. More like chocolate ganache and had to return.
