   Dinner at Blue Shrimp is always a great experience. The food, service and ambiance is amazing! And an added bonus is front row seats for the sunset!!

   We had a wonderful sunset dinner and were seated at an ocean front table as requested in our reservation. We had the seabass and the coconut shrimp with the blue shrimp and both dishes were delicious. Service was excellent, attentive and very friendly/gracious. This is a great spot to get good food with beautiful views!

   Went for a birthday celebration and they were excellent and great service. Food was good but all entrees were a bit salty.

   We visit Puerto Vallarta about once a year and enjoy trying new restaurants on Open Table. Since I have a shellfish allergy, I’ve never considered The Blue Shrimp because of its name. After walking by for a number of years, we decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I had the carne asada that was a good portion..I wasn’t able to finish it. My partner ordered the giant shrimp and is was devoured way before was near finishing, so I think it was enjoyed. We had a nice meal, a great server, Polo, and a beautiful sunset to see from our booth/table on the side next to the beach. With the great service, location, and choices for even those with a shellfish allergy, it’s well worth giving a try.

   Everytime we come to puerto Vallarta we go to blue shrimp, it’s our favorite! Not only the food but the service is always top notch!!!

   I had not been to the Blue Shrimp since it was located in El Centro in the 1990s so we figured it was worth a try. My overall feeling that it is overpriced for food that is only good at best. There are too many better restaurants in PV. The service is also lacking with an untrained staff. While we were eating our salads, the bus boy felt the need to reach between us to refill the silverware caddy on the table. Really? Wait until we are gone to do that. While we had a great table ocean front in the restaurant, we were next to a gathering area for bored employees that stood around and gossiped and watched us eat. I doubt I would ever return.

   We love this place. In one week we ate here three times. The Shrimp Lasagna was excellent as well as the Tequila Shrimp. The Crab Tacos were disappointing (not even sure why they were called tacos. They were rolls.) The Key Lime Pie wasn’t very good but the Flan was terrific. Overall, the service here is great. Tonight we had Pedro and Brian amongst others sending to our table. Enjoy!

    We reserved a table on the beach but when we got there we realized vendors would bother us and the mariachi band playing for the next table was very loud and we couldn’t hear ourselves. They moved us inside when asked without batting an eye and the night proceeded perfectly. Our server and the staff was lovely, meal was delicious and the mariachi band continued to play non stop the entire night- allowing us to enjoy them from afar.
