The Blue Boar has a fantastic reputation for food from diners around the world.
Our kitchen team continues to serve up great quality food, both in the A`la carte restaurant and in the bar areas, which offer good old pub grubs. Our menus are all about fresh pub food, although we do add something differentand unique to encourage new tastes and experience.
We keep the traditional favourites on the menu - although chef is constantly trying to improve on their flavour and presentation.
The specials change on a weekly basis to reflect the finest, freshest produce available locally.
Please do not fill yourself up on the mains - you have to try our delicious homemade desserts. They have to be seen and tasted to be believed. (Not recommended for the waistline!!).
We serve breakfast, lunch and evening meal and also cater for family functions, business meetings and coach parties.

They had no record of our booking and when I produced the email we were not made to feel welcome at all. The younger members of staff were running around and were very polite when you got their attention, but over all the service was terrible. The Risotto was like rice pudding but the rest of the food was nice. We had to leave after 2 hours and had not even looked at the pudding menu - it was Fathers Day and they appeared surprised they were busy.

Visited with friends for lunch. Excellent choice from either standard menu or lunch time special menu. Very good presentation of food and all arrived piping hot. Service also very good and pleasant personality.

An outstanding meal selected from a comprehensive menu, with so many tempting options. The only criticism is we felt the fajitas should have included more than one wrap. Otherwise a great evening.

Have been here several times now and always excellent service and food. Staff are lovely and very attentive (it helps that the food is great too!). Sunday lunch is a must. I have even started using their accommodation for visitors to our office because I know they will be impressed by the restaurant for their overnight stay.

Lovely country pub with history n ambience. Food reasonably priced n delicious. Service a bit slow but it was busy. Waitress very sweet and accommodating of our food allergies .

Really good choice of starters and mains on the menu, our food was very tasty and a good portion size. The Blue Boar is very cosy and the staff were friendly.
