   Enjoyed an excellent roast dinner at The Blackhorse which is a lovely traditional pub in a pretty village. The portion sizes were extremely generous and the food was piping hot. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly , and nothing was too much bother.

   The food and ambience never fail to please here. The menu is good, seasonal and not too big a choice, which is perfect for us ! good choice of wines too and the staff are always friendly and efficient. Busy pub, both drinkers and diners - which is great to see. Many thanks

   Food was very average/poor especially for the cost. Sadly the new owners are not doing this sweet local (which we used to visit often), much justice.

   A real shame you felt the need to leave this review. We can only conclude that this was all down to the fact you wanted to pay for your meal at prices from 2 years ago. A real shame but as people can see from customers that came to enjoy our service, food and atmosphere and could afford to pay for it our ratings are actually very good. We are very happy to offer you a full refund.

   We both had lobster followed by sticky toffee pudding and it was amazing. The best food we’ve had in a long while, and so reasonable. Staff as always were efficient and friendly, one of the best places to go eat.

   On arrival we were greeted well and shown to are table The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Overall very good value for money.
