   Welcomed with friendly smiles by all staff and menu system explained. Choice of food was great and the meal was superb. Also made a good Irish Coffee. Will definitely be booking again.

   We have been coming to the bank for special meals since moving to Bude 3 years ago. The food and service have always been excellent and it has always been a great joy to dine there, unfortunately our experience last not was so poor I really do think we will seriously consider never eating at the Bank again. The special that we ordered had chorizo so overcooked it was like trying to eat bullets and it wasn’t until we’d nearly finished our food that we had a table check. Have to say really disappointed as we had booked this meal as a treat after fasting for the whole of Lent. Service and food have gone down hill and we definitely will not be coming to or recommending the Bank again.

   Hello there, Many thanks for your visit and again we can only apologise for the part of the one dish being sent overcooked. We apologised immediately on the evening and offered a fresh or entirely new dish complimentary however, we understand you did not want this. We did ask if there was anything at all we could do to get your evening back on track however, again there was nothing so our team offered dessert as normal and then left you to enjoy your remaining drinks. Later that evening, a message was sent again expressing unhappiness which we asked again, if there was anything at all you had now thought of that you would like/have liked us to do and nothing was said.    Crowded space with dogs lying around in the eating area. Food ok but nothing special and very expensive. Not the place for me.

   Hi Keith, Many thanks for your recent visit and taking the time to leave your thoughts, we love to hear from our guests. We are sorry to ready you weren't quite happy with your space in the restaurant or our being dog friendly, we were extremely busy on Good Friday! Just in case you weren't aware previously, we do have private dining spaces that offer your own space as a table with no neighbours, human or otherwise if this would have been more comfortable for you, we would have happily accommodated if aware at the time so again our apologies if you didn't feel you could express this whilst dining with us. We do hope despite the table arrangements you had a lovely evening with us and a wonderful bank holiday weekend. Best wishes!

   Absolutely gorgeous dinner! Service by the young lad was brilliant, as were his recommendations! We sat in an outdoor private pod which was very cute and included a window fan and heater if needed. Definitely will return if down here for holiday again. Brilliant. Thanks team!

   Lovely evening at The Bank. Service and atmosphere was very good. Lots of choice on the menu. Only criticism was that the calamari was over cooked.

Our staff retain 100% of their card and cash tips and always have under our management. Our tip policy is completely transparent and fair for each member of the team, no monies are deducted from their tip pot by management or the business. We strongly believe our team earn their tips through their excellent service, attention to detail and pride in their profession and their tips reflect the great work they all do.    Lovely tapas restaurant with a great selection of dishes, from veg to meat and fish plus sides and extras. Good drinks selection too, along with cocktails. Nice setting with views over the nature reserve. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional, gave good advice when needed. Would definitely recommend, but advise booking in advance as very popular and busy.

   Visited for Motherrs Day and daughter’s 16th birthday. Restaurant was like a hot day in a glasshouse. Staff appeared unaware. Too engrossed in their conversations. Near impossible to attract their attention. No water until eventually got them to attend. Had to ask for free drink offered to “mother”. Never got any recognition for my mention about birthday celebration when making booking on this app. They did clear up when my wife accidentally spilt he wine. No offer to replace. Until I asked. Then my paella arrived with practically raw rice. No offer to discount. When I explained at the end that we had had a poor experience they aplogised but showed no interest in finding out why or how to redress. Very poor. Sorry. Have been to this restaurant many times before and it has been ok and sometimes good. Won’t be back I’m afraid. Such a shame. Needs better management control of staff

We welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly should be happy to reach out as we know text can sometimes be misconstrued however, 100% appreciate you may not wish to in which case we can only send our sincere apologies and try to answer some of the above here. Our Mothers Day treat was an automatic discount upon ordering & if not ordered upfront, free pudding/fizz offered once a little further into the meal to let mums have time to choose. The paella we can only apologise again & do hope you enjoyed the fresh refire. We would of course added a candle & singsong with a dessert for your daughter if requested as not all guests enjoyed us doing so automatically.

    Such a lovely place to eat, quirky and beautifully done out, lovely staff and amazing food, great variety. Took a while for our order to be taken and we felt there were too many red chilli’s in a lot of the dishes which overwhelmed the overall flavour. We had a great night though and would highly recommend the bank to friends and family.
