   I'd say the only knock we have is that the menu is short and doesn't change that frequently. But, it's diverse enough with meat, fish, vegetarian(ish) choices and it's all perfect. The asparagus was the surprise hit of our night.

   First time I’ve been here in about 6 years and the place has massively stepped their food game up. The vibes have always been good here but I used to find it way over priced for what you get, which if I’m being honest was always mediocre. Got curious when I saw they got a Michelin bib gourmand so decided to try it again. Definitely no longer the case! We had the roasted cabbage and parsnip purée, split the burger and the halibut with the basque cheese cake for dessert. Everything was outstanding. Not sure if they changed the chef but the Bib is well deserved.

   Wonderful service; no pretention, just lovely people. Halibut was fantastic. Cocktails were great and lots of choices. Highly recommend!

   The Ace is a neighbourhood fave and we traditionally go for family birthdays and anniversaries. This year, for my son’s 22nd, it couldn’t have been more perfect: delicious cocktails, steak frites and oysters, kind service. We were a family of four at the front table so there was plenty of space for us all and we weren’t rushed — my son had plenty of time to open his gifts! Thank you so much.

   The food and cocktails were great. A few things fell short. When our wine was brought to the table the server didn't know whose wine was whose. He just guessed and put them down so we had to sample each to see which one we ordered. The dessert left something to be desired. Room temperature, over cooked basque cheesecake with no garnish. Would return for the food. Steak and apps were phenomenal.

   The booths are tight for four but the service and food was wonderful. Perfect for a special event or just a neighborhood after work dinner. Make reservations though. It’s a busy busy place.

   Such a classic Toronto restaurant, it really makes me nostalgic for the Toronto restaurant scene. The El Zubròn cocktail was amazing, one of the best steak frites in the city, and just overall really great service and food!

    This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to! The food was totally amazing. The french toast 10/10. I would totally go back! Great place!
