Another lovely meal. Went with a friend for Sunday lunch and not disappointed . I had the Salmon fillet and my friend had a roast from carvery, both really good. We were given one of the tall tables with high seats which were fine for us but when booking is worth mentioning if you are not able to climb up onto chair for any reason . A bit warm in restaurant with no window open or fan to circulate air a bit but otherwise nice environment and atmosphere.

This was our second visit. On the 1st visit we had the carvery which was excellent. Loads of vegetables to choose from and lovely thick gravy! Our 2nd visit was to celebrate my husbands birthday. The staff decorated our table with balloons etc. We eat off the menu. The lasagne was home cooked and lovely. Everyone was really helpful and friendly. Nice to eat and talk to our friends without being blasted by loud music. Would 100% go back again.

Took the family for a birthday meal. Really looked after us. Table set up with high chair and birthday banner. Staff were very attentive sorted my four grandchildren out with numerous requests. Kids meals were a bit on the large side so lots wasted. Carvery was exceptional as usual.

Really disappointed in the food quality. The venue itself was unrecognisable from the Green Man and the interior was a pleasant surprise. The "carvery" was well below the standard I would expect. The beef resembled an elephants leg, the pork was mainly fat and as for the chicken; these were chicken breast on the bone and the quantity of meat was sparse. All three meats on offer were dry and I regret not checking first before paying for the carvery option. As roast parsnips and potatoes are my personal favourite, I was mortified to see that they had been deep fried and in the case of the parsnips; more than once. The remaining vegetables were good and looked and tasted fresh. In defence of the manager, he acknowledged our complaints and offered fresh parsnips and additional beef. In this day of health conscious people, the carvery offered little healthy options and as a result, I could not face my favourite sweet; crumble and custard. Overall, significant areas for improvement and unless things change, we would not attend again. At least at KFC, the standard is obvious.

The pub was very busy found it hard to park, when we got in there was plenty of space the waiter very helpful took us to table, we all ordered Sunday lunch there was a good selection of meats and vegetables all well cooked and tasty finished with a coffee. The only downside being sat next to noisy group with a number of babies. Will definitely use again

When comparing this restaurant with Horning, which we use a lot and really enjoy, you can notice the newness, (lack of uniform and inexperience of some staff) but in time this will improve to the Horning standards I am sure. The only major issue I can see is the exiting from the carpark, the new wooden fence is too high and obscures the the view of oncoming vehicles from both directions, the lack of vision requires you to drive out with the front of your car into the road before having a clear view of traffic, this along with the speed of oncoming vehicles and on a bend is in my opinion a hazard that needs addressing urgently. This being said we will be using this restaurant again, it is a good alternative to Horning especially when access to the river site is difficult due to bad weather conditions.

The carvery was superb with a wide range of vegetables and couldn't be faulted. The desserts however whilst looking good were all served cold. Never had cold treacle sponge pudding with cold custard before - very strange
