   The food quality and presentation was excellent. Service was a bit slow sometimes. We had to ask and remind about missing items. Unfortunately, it was very noisy. I guess it's not the restaurants' fault, but there were some very noisy guests who really messed up our experience unfortunately. I would return again for the food though.

   Awesome food and service. I think due to the ceilings or the mirror; it bounces sounds instead of a regular wall that could absorb the sound. Awesome food and worth taking the loud sounds bouncing.

   The food and service was outstanding! Laurel provided us an exceptionally great evening as we celebrated a special event. It has been quite a while since we last visited Terrapins. It did not disappoint.

   We had originally made reservations for the patio, but since the bar was open when we arrived, we decided to sit there instead. We were greeted right away and promptly served our drinks along with a glass of water and a bottle to refill as needed. Menus were handed to us, and to our surprise and delight, they were personalized at the top with “6th Dating Anniversary” — a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. We started with a dozen oysters, and while we waited, they brought out a generous chunk of fresh bread to tide us over. The oysters were plump and perfect — not skimpy at all. While I would’ve preferred horseradish and crackers, the apple vinegar worked just fine. Soon after, our entrées arrived. I had the Chicken and Pinot dinner, and my wife ordered the shrimp and pasta dish (can’t quite remember the name). Everything was well-paced, perfectly portioned, and absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a fantastic meal with great timing and service, and a lovely way to celebrate our anniversary.

   If you have an anniversary coming up you HAVE TO come here. The best food especially the crab stuffed peppers. Amazing service and great ambiance. Me and my girlfriend loved it.

   one of thee best restaurants in Virginia Beach....the food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. A must visit when in the area.....

    Our server was top notch. I went for my birthday and got a special menu that said ‘happy birthday’ on the top. They wrapped it up and gave it to me too! Their happy hour is amazing and all the food was delicious and well made.
