Taxman CityWay is a gastropub and beer garden located in an 1850s renovated livery building, right in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. This family friendly gastropub features three full service bars offering 20 rotating Taxman beers, local ciders and a wide variety of wine and spirits, as well as a pet-friendly outdoor patio. The seasonal menu highlights local and regional farmers and is anchored by a wide variety of local beef burgers, steaks, housemade pretzels, seasonal sandwiches, Belgian-style French fries (commonly referred to as “frites”) and Belgian-style Liege waffles.

Situated directly next door to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and several blocks from Lucas Oil Stadium, Taxman CityWay offers one of the largest patios in downtown Indianapolis and has a stage featuring live music throughout the spring, summer and fall. A second floor private event space features the lofted ceilings, a modern fireplace, private bar and old-world charm.

    Join us on Sunday, April 27 at Taxman CityWay for a five-course dinner as we celebrate the kick-off of the Craft Brewers Conference in Indianapolis. Each course will be paired with exclusive craft brews, including rare vault and vintage selections. Experience the distinct character of Belgian beer in an intimate setting, complemented by European-inspired plates designed to highlight what makes this style so exceptional. Over the course of two hours, we’ll take you on a journey that redefines the relationship between food and beer. Tickets are $75, plus tax and gratuity. Space is extremely limited.

    They had live music which was fantastic but it was so loud you couldn’t have acing with your dinner partner. The waitress culinary hear us. The food was very disappointing. Truffle fries were great but that’s it.

    Service was great. Came in for my birthday with a huge crowd and they were very nice. Waiter came and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. Food was plenty and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend

    We had a great time in town for the Brooks and Dunn Concert! Happy Hour was 4-5, great special’s. Food was delicious, we had the pretzel and the chicken tenders, generous portion and hot. Everyone around us had the burgers and they looked delicious! We sat at the bar, the bartender was very pleasant and as busy as she was she was on top of things! We found you online and we were very impressed and we will be back!

    Our server (I don't recall his name) was a joy to be around, was funny, personable and attentive. Food (brussel sprouts and veggie burger for my lady, House salad for me) were tasty and we appreciated accommodation of our special requests. Drink options were also good. Location is perfect for dinner before Pacers home game. We like supporting locally-owned places.

    The children’s menu did not mention egg on the cheeseburger. We ordered a gluten free bun with no cheese- and got egg on it. Which we removed ok or we would have had to send it back. Our child is allergic to many things. Don’t understand why it had egg on it.

    We would only return for the drinks. Salmon was burnt, fries were re-fried and soggy, tenderloin was blah, nothing was seasoned or had any flavor. There were only 3 tables/party’s there at the time and it still took awhile for the food to arrive. Servers did their best but, it was an overall waste of money.
