   Our recent dining experience at Tavern at Mill Pond was nothing short of exceptional. As a group of four seasoned world travelers and discerning food connoisseurs, we hold high standards when it comes to cuisine, service, and atmosphere — and this establishment exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm, inviting ambience that struck the perfect balance between rustic charm and refined elegance. The setting is intimate yet lively, making it ideal for both a casual evening out and a more special occasion. A special mention must be made of Jake, our waiter for the evening. His professionalism, attentiveness, and deep knowledge of the menu were truly impressive. He took the time to understand our preferences and confidently guided us through the evening with outstanding recommendations. Each of us decided to trust Jake’s selections — and every dish was a hit. From starters to dessert, the presentation, flavors, and attention to detail were on par with some of the finest restaurants we’ve experienced around the globe. It’s rare to find a place where food, service, and setting all come together in such harmony. We left feeling not only satisfied but genuinely eager to return. Without hesitation, we will recommend Tavern at Mill Pond to others looking for a top-tier dining experience. Bravo to the entire team — and especially to Jake, whose expertise and gracious hospitality made the evening truly memorable.

   We had a party of 7 everybody had something different from burgers, chicken, Aged steak and appetizers everything was great and the service was great as well.

   Service and food were very good. Had spicy wings, spicy burger, and crispy chicken BLT. Michele was attentive. Old fashioned and Maine Lunch IPA were reasonably priced.

   The food and service was great. We went with an old friend who we used to go the the Millpond with in the 1970-1980's. We were looking forward to seeing him and talking but the music was so loud that we could not hear each other. This venue is too small for that high a volume. We don't plan on returning without checking to make sure that there is no entertainment.

I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the food and the service, and I apologize that the live entertainment was too loud for your liking. We have music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in our tavern, but if you'd prefer a quieter setting, you might enjoy dining upstairs in our steakhouse, where we would be happy to provide you with the downstairs tavern menu to order from while enjoying a quieter environment.    We ate in the tavern. Our server Michele was excellent! The meal from app to dessert was really good! Will go back soon!

   Service was fabulous. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Food was delicious and came quickly. Only praise. We will be back.

   This is not the first time I have been here and the food is always good. My friend and I shared the short rib dumplings… very good. Both had a Caesar salad, could have split one. Not bad, lacked a bit of the typical Caesar flavor. We also both had the roasted halibut over vegetables. The top coating was a bit too salty for my taste, but my friend thought it was ok. The fish was cooked perfectly, as were the vegetables. Our server, Dan, could not have been better. He was terrific. We should have sat in the steakhouse rather than the tavern, the music was MUCH too loud, and we were in the back corner of the other room. Hard to hear each other. Would not sit in the tavern again, unless I knew there would not be music, just too, too loud. Will absolutely go again.

    Our group of friends was very glad we’d chosen the Millpond Tavern. Menu was so inviting that we had difficulty choosing. One of us took advantage of the Steakhouse menu also being available; her steak was superb. The burgers and the chopped salad topped with salmon were delicious, and we took advantage of the sharing desserts on the dessert menu. Service was good, attentive and well paced to allow for a leisurely evening. We’ll be back.
