   A girlfriend and I had a dinner date at Tatami on Valentine's Day 2014. We walked in and were seated right away however, didn't see a server until 20 minutes later. Then, the server told us that "his other servers didn't want to take any more tables so he could take our order in a few minutes". Okkkkkay? Our food took ages to arrive and our server was seldom seen. The food was very good. However, the service and level of professionalism was deplorable. I will say, it seemed that they didn't expect so many people and weren't prepared for the crowd. Either way, they need a little help on the hospitality end but the sushi was to die for and the spicy udon seafood soup was out of this world!

   I recently booked a table for a party of 8 to celebrate a birthday at Tatami. We ordered an asssortment of speciality rolls, vegetable tempura and vegetable gyoza. Everything was delicious and the presentation was lovely. Be careful if you order the rolls that are described as spicy, they are actually very spicy. The service was slow initiallly but improved as the night went on. The dining area is tiny but it's warm and cozy and decorated nicely. I would return.

   This is a wonderful sushi restaurant in the burbs. The food is very flavorful and the presentations are especially appealing. Try the calamari appetizer. The dipping sauces beautifully compliment the lightly fried calamari. Yum!

   My wife and I dined at Tatami's with another couple on a Friday evening due to OpenTable reviews I read. Nothing pretentious in this small, strip mall location, but what a delightful, friendly restaurant serving excellent Japanese food with gracious service. If you like calamari, the appetizer with two sauces is delicious, as were the salads and soup. My wife and one friend split sushi rolls, her husband a cucumber dish, while I savored the teriyaki salmon, which has an interesting, flavorful side of white rice. Portions are generous and the presentation of the food is very nice. We all plan to dine at Tatami's again soon.

   I've been eating at Tatami for almost two years now, and have found that they are consistently good on every front. Service is always polite and attentive without being pushy. The uni shooters are fantastic and I always start my meal with one. Their rolls are really fantastic, balancing elements like spicy, salty, texture and portion. My husband loves their maki. Personally, I always go for sashimi when I eat at Tatami. The fish is always fresh, has fantastic texture and is served at the proper temperature for maximum flavor. The ambience is very relaxed and sleek. I always recommend Tatami and will continue to eat there.

   We've been there several times and will return again. The menu is extensive enough to keep us from getting bored as we work our way through it. Very friendly and helpful staff.
