   We enjoyed the Sunday brunch. Many choices from the buffet and menu. Nice touch to be able to order your eggs a la minute. The roast pork and chicken on the buffet were very good. Cheerful and handsome staff to serve your every wish, including ordering a taxi for us after dining!

   We had a lovely lunch here on the balcony above the small pool. We had fish tacos, which were delicious and attractively served. Guacamole and chips were also tasty. For dessert on a quiet day we were offered the choice of horchata creme brûlée or chocolates. We chose the chocolates, which were displayed beautifully with grapes and flowers. It was a charming and relaxing setting. We will definitely return.

   We have enjoyed wonderful dinners in the past at Taste - the menu was so very creative using only Mexican ingredients with a unique Mexican twist, the meals were just delightful with full flavors that we could not wait to share with visiting friends. Now the menu selection is just blaaa and missing that wonderful Mexican twist. The entire meal was not a meal we would have thought possible, we were the only table in the restaurant @ 8pm - the apps were served luke warm, the main dish was extremely salty. The server came to the table to ask how we were enjoying the meal however there was absolutely no acknowledgement as to our dissatisfaction and the restaurant manager, sitting nearby at the bar did nothing but browse on his phone. During our dinner, there was one person hovering around the table and eventually introduced himself as the restaurant's consultant. After hearing our concerns he asked that we pass them onto the manager before leaving (what is the point of having a consultant). The manager continued sitting at the bar browsing on his phone ignoring us. We will not return again !!

   This was our first time at Taste; no one was at the door or entry area to greet us so we had to wander around to find the restaurant. Music was too loud to be able to visit; it was eventually turned down after others complained. Our first drink orders took over ten minutes to receive -- we were the only table at the time; after ordering a second round the waiter forgot the order! As other patrons arrived they were seated immediately next to our table rather than allowing for some privacy and space between groups. We felt the staff was still learning their routine. Appetizers were extremely small and expensive. However, my main course was of sufficient size and properly prepared.

   Went for Thanksgiving dinner special. Food was good, however, the buffet was set up poorly with a bad flow and way too many people. Service was extremely lacking and slow to say the least. This is my third time to this restaurant so I will likely not be going back again. There are too many other better places in PV for an enjoyable evening with better food and service.

   Interesting contemporary Mexican cuisine. Minimalist wine selection. Unusual yet entertaining outdoor seating next to a bar which projected and played music videos on a large wall.

   We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday last night and had a lovely meal! He had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly, I had fish with a lightly breaded and fried octopus served over mushroom risotto. The staff were cheerful and accommodating. I love this restaurant....oh and did I mention the terrific view of Banderas Bay??

   I have been to this restaurant many times over the years and everything has been great. However this last meal on Friday night was unacceptable. One guest at our table returned his food. The others were less than impressed with the food. The service is excellent and the staff great however this was an off night for the kitchen. One bad experience like this makes you think you might not return. We come to Mexico for three months and usually will go for dinner 3 times. Not sure when next.

   Staff seems to change somewhat frequently but every hire reveals more good people. Food is consistently good. The chef does well at adjusting each meal to my individual preferences. Just a pleasant experience each time.

    Last year, while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, I enjoyed a great dinner at Taste. This year we stayed at Casa Cupula and enjoyed five breakfasts, one Sunday brunch, four lunches, and two dinners. The food is creative and tasty blending traditional Mexican flavors with a modern twist. The wait staff are attentive and friendly, And the views out to the bay are some of the best in Puerto Vallarta. Absolutely worth a trip to Taste, especially for a sunset dinner.
