It was a bittersweet evening and night as we said goodbye and good luck. It will be sad to not have Taproot in the neighborhood anymore but while it was there I thoroughly enjoyed every element of the place the food, the service , the ambiance all tied together beautifully to provide a great experience. Can’t wait to see what Jeff and Steph do next but until then BarBushido e yōkoso

This was our second time in a month. First time we had the swordfish and it was fantastic even though the potatoes were way undercooked. The fish itself was incredible. So we decided to go back. We had the bread app, which is wave hill and incredible. It all went downhill from there. The pickled carrots were fine but not a must. The garlic shrimp were terrible. They had that awful iodine flavor from cheap or old shrimp. We didn’t even finish it. We both had the fish dish, the bass and I just wasn’t good. It’s not like it was inedible. Just nothing I’d ever order again. Our server wasn’t particularly helpful and our drinks took so long we finally grabbed her and you could tell she completely forgot. Other than that we never saw her. Great ambience and their cocktails are excellent. I’d probably go there just to sit at the bar and drink but save your money when it comes to dinner.
