In order to make our customers visit as enjoyable as possible we can now allow customers to book a table in a requested area in the inn. Unfortunately due to not being able to customize and call them by the areas we would like we have had to introduce a key.

After turning up for our booking, which I had made in November, we were told that they had not taken any bookings and it was ticket only for New Years Eve and that they did not use open table. We were so disappointed and ended up with nowhere to go to celebrate the New Year and we weren't the only ones either.

We had been. Looking forward to visiting the Tan Hill for a while however we were disappointed with having to que at the bar each time you wanted a drink or food. Unfortunately their was not enough staff which were trying their best to accommmodate. Everyone’s needs . The beer selection looked great and their was a warm fire.

Food was ok, but very expensive for basic pub grub. Wait at the bar was rediculas, most of the time 3 or 4 people queueing with one person serving. Band was great!

Landlady very rude, they were unaware of our booking at 12 noon said food didn’t start until 1pm. Not made to feel welcome so we left. Felt very annoyed after making the rough 7mile journey from A66 up in the snow. Won’t be going again.

No table reserved, had to take the only table available, which was in a cold drafty part of of the Inn near the corridor to the barn. Yet we had prebooked via yourself. Food over priced by ~£5 scampi, small portion of chips & peas £16.95, nothing extra to warrant the premier pricing other than the location. No table priority given to residents paying £180 for a double room against a family paying a £10 to stay in a camper van overnight.

Always loved the Tan Hill, and this visit was no exception. The staff are super friendly and very helpful, our room was beautiful, the food was gob smacking and the ales were excellent with a really good choice.

Tan Hill Inn has been on the 'to do' list and while staying in the are we visited for Sunday lunch. Excellent in all respects, and wonderful views of the surrounding countyside. Research how to get there and allow time. My satnav took me on a scenic route passing the road to Ravenseat of tv fame. Will call again when next in the area, as and when that may be.
