   We’ve eaten at Taffers a handful of times and always had a good experience. Service for Easter brunch was extremely slow. We were there nearly 2 hours because the kitchen was backed up. It also seemed they were short servers. When we finally got food, it wasn’t the quality we were used to.

   The lobster roll could have maybe used a tad bit more salt, but it was still very tasty nonetheless as well as the Asian bbq pork skewers!! Would definitely go back as there were a few things I was interested in trying!

   Overall, I have been to this Restaurant since Covid and watched it come into its own. The food is much better, the brussels sprouts are amazing. However, the service is slow and I definitely would expect a little different from this restaurant .

   We went with the “hand helds” menu: roast beef, burger, grilled chicken and avocado. We each enjoyed our meals and left feeling full! Started with spinach/ artichoke dip and could tell it was fresh, not a mix.

   We have come here two other times since it originally opened. The food was bar food but higher end. We had great coconut shrimp, french fries (I am a fresh home made french fry girl), and a few other dishes that made us remember our experience. These us great drinks are things you would expect from Taffert. Its now been open a few years. Last night I ordered chicken and waffles. I do not usually order this but I did as I expected higher end fresh made chicken tenders with my waffles. The chicken was clearly a frozen flat chicken patty with pepper on it. I was in shock. My husband and his friend ordered the Tavern burger. They looked really good and my they both agreed that the burgers were good. However, the fries were not. They were clearly thumb sized frozen fries with a ton of garlic salt. We expected the great fries that they had opened the restaurant with originally. The hosts that seated us were kind. We were early by about three minutes and they sat us immediately. The server was great, our order was correct, our drinks came fast (they were good), and even a manager came by to check our table. The bathroom had an odd 9 x 11 picture on the wall. It looked like it came from Walmart, which is not Tafferts style at all. Not the pictures really matter in the bathroom, but my husband said you could tell certain pictures have been taken off the wall in his bathroom. It’s just not Tafferts style. The rest of the restaurant seemed to look amazing like it did when they originally opened up. The inside looks great and patrons were sitting outside eating as it was a great night. The noise level is still insane in there though. My advice to others is to sit in a non curved booth so that you can hear people speak.  I think the curve bar is nice, but with the acoustic in that restaurant it’s really hard to hear people speak. Overall, I’m giving it a three and it’s mainly because of the food. If you’re looking for basic bar feed, give it a try.
