   Used to be on Sanibel moved to mainland. Still the most inventive food in Florida. The blue corn crepes are stuffed with duck and superb. The fish stew is justifiably famous and still delicious.

   Dinner at Melissa's with a friend on a Saturday, reserved at 6; I suspect it might get noisy later (lots of hard surfaces!) but there were few customers at that hour. Very attractive -- what I wold call "industrial decor". Unintrusive live music. So good to see the familiar crew from Sanibel manning their stations!! Menu much the same, Small plates and Entrées; we had the spicy shrimp & grits and the pork belly, both delicious... perhaps delivered a little too rapidly... Friendly, attentive service from Shelley, who took the time to chat, much appreciated. Excellent experience, so happy Sweet Melissa's is back.

   Outstanding! We are excited that Sweet Melissa's has found a home in Fort Myers. Every bite from appetizers (small plates) to desserts were flavors to savor. We started with mussels that were to die for! Perfectly prepared and delicious, and a very generous portion. For entrees, the filet and reddish were outstanding! The finale of the goat cheese cheesecake and banana strudel with caramel gelato were perfect sweet endings! Adding to our enjoyment were the wonderful service and ambiance. We plan to return soon!

   Nice atmosphere and very enjoyable live guitar music. My dish, homemade tagliatelle pasta was very salty. Loved the pasta and was done just right…just way too salty. My husband had red fish and it was pretty good. The kale salad was delicious. Our server was very nice but didn’t seem to listen closely. We ordered Old Fashioneds and he brought us Manhattans. I ordered kale salad and he wrote down watermelon salad. But I would give it another shot.

   I found the atmosphere to be loud as impersonal. I ordered the pasta with clams and my noodles were almost raw. I’ve always loved Sweet Melissa’s. But I was very unhappy,

    Excellent food! Fresh, innovative, flavorful. Service a little uneven. And layout of tables could be better thought out...tables seemed uneccesarily crowded given the large space available. But they've only been open in this location a short time so I suspect this will all get worked out. But the food is well worth these other minor inconveniences. Will be back for sure.
