SVAGO, Italian for FUN!

We are an Italian kitchen inspired by the recipes handed down from generation to generation.

Memories of making pasta, biscuits and pizza with Nonna (our grandmother). Cooking with Nonna was always fun. And it was simple. It was holding onto the Artisan philosophy of food. Handmade dishes using the freshest ingredients. Ingredients that were allowed to speak for themselves. Whether it was Nonno’s (our grandfather) home grown tomatoes in the pasta sauce or the fresh fish a neighbour caught and gave to Nonna to cook. It all tasted wonderful.

We are a modern Italian kitchen with a modern feel but SVAGO Bursts with the warmth and hospitality of real Italian family traditions, meeting for Lunch and or Dinner!

This is the SVAGO way.

Bit noisy but considering it was Mother’s Day, it was fine. The other times we have been it’s been quieter.

We had 4 mains and a starter to share. 3x mains were the Chef’s Special Steaks - all were scotch fillets. We all asked for mid rate instead of making it too difficult for the kitchen. By the time they got too our table they all came out medium, none of our steaks were trimmed. Still had significant sinew on them- the red wine reduction was nice, likewise the broccolini and potatoes

Noise level a bit much. Conversation was difficult. Food delicious and service excellent. We will return at a quieter time. Thanks for everything.

Staff at Svago is always very helpful, they have changed our table to the booth to accommodate two toddlers who had a bit more space and everyone felt very comfortable. This specific visit my personal little disappointment was with the long gap between entree and mains - because of kids getting tired i would prefer we would eaten much quicker. Also, this time, my favourite risotto wasn't as perfect as i used to... but in 90% it absolutely delicious, so i will be ordering it again, for sure.

We had one of the best pizza's in Adelaide. Fresh and authentic Italian. We go to a lot of Italian restaurants and I can not speak highly enough of Svago. The service was great, too. A very good experience.
