   Best sushi place in Simi without question. Probably best in Ventura County. Don’t come looking for California rolls. This isn’t that kind of place. Top notch sushi shipped in from Japan. Fresh as can be.

   I've been eating sushi all over Southern California for over 30 years and have never had sushi this good. Outstanding fish, sauces, and technique. There was just the sushi chef, Sei Tanaka, and the waitress (his wife?), and, at a 6:30 p.m. seating, three couples, including hubby and me. All of us ordered the chef's choice for $100.00 each, which places our dining experience in Chef Tanaka's talented hands. If I had known this would be so transcendent, I would have taken pictures and cataloged every dish served. It was that good. It's like eating choice steak your whole life and then trying Kobe. You will never go back to regular sushi. YOU MUST GO HERE. That is all.

    We enjoyed very much! The music was a little strange for the setting. And I wish they had some higher quality sake by the glass. But I enjoyed this more than going somewhere like Nobu.
