Craftsmanship at its finest is displayed at Sushi Noz, where guests experience our seasonal omakase menu curated nightly by Chef Nozomu Abe. Known as "Noz" to his friends, Abe-san is part of a movement from Japan advancing Edomae-style sushi, incorporating aging and preparation techniques that date back to Japan's Edo period. Upon entering the restaurant, guests are transported by the Sukiya-style wooden interior, which was assembled using more than a dozen types of cedar. The centerpiece of our first dining room is our 8-seat, 200-year-old hinoki wood sushi bar and traditional ice chest, where Chef Noz refrigerates the evening's neta selections. Our second dining room features a sushi bar made from tamo ash wood, which accommodates an additional 6 guests. We welcome our guests in true Japanese hospitality, offering two nightly seatings at each counter.

Great dinner with Noz at the Hinoki counter for late spring menu. Noz is extremely talented and I love his style of omakase. Simple flavors that taste amazing. It was my 2nd visit. I brought a "foodie" friend for his 50th and after tasting each of the courses the look on his face was priceless. After he exclaimed "I will never forget this dinner!!" Sushi Noz is a treasured gem in NYC. I am looking forward to seeing how his menu evolves in the future while keeping the authenticity of Japanese ingredients.

Hands-down the best sushi omakase in NYC. Nothing else comes close to the quality, skill, and creativity shown by Chef Noz and his team. I've dined at Sushi Noz 4 times since 2019 and it's consistently incredible.

An amazing Omakase experience. Everyone should try this at least once. Chef Taka is amazing and the entire staff was really great and attentive. Such a cool experience to share with a small group of people.

Sushi Noz is definitely worth it for the experience. The entire evening is focused on you and the chef and exploring different foods from Japan. While sushi is the main course, the chef did a great job with introducing some lesser known dishes for appetizers before moving onto the sushi course. The service is impeccable. The staff move at such rapid speeds but you would never noticed because they know the perfect intermission between the plates to attend to you. The environment makes you forget you're even in new york and you've suddenly been teleported to Japan. This is an authentic omakase experience that I've never encountered before.
