Surf is a new play on American cuisine, using all fire. Located at the Urby development, the exterior boasts of modern design – highlighting both the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the NYC skyline. The old factory building look of polished cement floors with wood and metal accents throughout, give it an understated elegance – something no other restaurant on Staten Island features. The hearth wood fired grill, at the center of the kitchen, gives off an inviting and relaxed atmosphere, while staying true to its classic cooking methods.

At Surf our second floor dining room boasts spectacular views of New York City and the Verrazano Bridge from each and every seat. Special requests for upstairs and window seating cannot be guaranteed.

Beautiful views and wonderful decor, but way overpriced for quality/quantity of food, all sides a la carte, drinks small and pricey. Maybe a one-time visit restaurant, but not on a regular basis.

The mussels tasted like they were directly from the ocean and had to be sent back . The steak was incredibly salty . Servers were very nice and ambiance is beautiful . Great cocktails also but too expensive for the food quality

It was my third time at surf and I was really pleased with my first two visits. However on my third visit we waited over 45 minutes to be seated, the waitress was not attentive, the food was cold and the bill with tip came to $500. The restaurant is new and I feel is trying to accommodate everyone but they are neglecting the tables and sending the food out cold. Manhattan views, Manhattan prices, but news flash... it’s just not in Manhattan
