We dined here before a performance at the Tobin. We made reservations but they were able to seat us early which we much appreciated. We ordered the meatball appetizers which were delicious. My husband and I shared a pizza. The pizza was also delicious. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had water and food as requested. Looking forward to dining here again.

First time at this restaurant. I ordered the calamari and Caesar salad with chicken. The calamari came out without lemon to squeeze over so I had to ask for that. It was presented as a small side dish with sliced lemons but, for the calibre of menu price point, they could have presented the lemon half in a net to guard against seed and spray. The breading batter could have used a bit more spices as it was a little bland. The quality of the calamari was great though and the aioli was tart but tasty. The marinara was a bit too watery. The Caesar tasted awesome with a good dressing recipe and flavorful but not oversized croutons. However, I ordered it with grilled chicken and it came out without it. When I was finally able to grab the server, I was already halfway done and told him to just take it off the bill. That being said, the cocktails were on point and presented well. I first got the Last Kiss which was a little too sugary for my pallet but I was attracted to the lavender so I ordered the Lavender smoked old fashioned next. It was flamed table side and well balanced. I finished off with the crème brûlée which was reasonably portioned and delicious. Service was professional but a little stretched out as it was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday. The overall price points on the menu seemed too high for the place. I’d probably only stop in for drinks before a show at the nearby Tobin.

This restaurant takes pride in it's food. It has a small menu of exquisitely prepared dishes. It doesn't have the decor or elevated service of a Michelin starred restaurant, but the food is sublime and matches that of a Michelin starred establishment. I had a Chilean sea bass that was amongst the tastiest I have experienced. The cocktails are creative and an obvious source of pride for Stout's. Make it a point to eat dinner here if you are visiting San Antonio.

We enjoyed everything from the great window view to our server Skyler. The food was exquisite: calamari, Caesar salad, salmon, carnivore pizza and bourbon sauce over bread pudding! A fantastic choice before heading to any evening show at the Tobin ( or after a matinee performance).

Food, drinks, service - all excellent. Matthew paced our meal out perfectly to finish in time for the short walk to the Tobin Performing Arts Center.
