   The hall itself is fantastic but the pool and wet area is very poor I wouldn’t bother with that just the hall

   Nice looking restaurant, friendly staff, let down by a woefully small underwhelming menu. 4 options of starter, main course and desert. All very safe options with little imangination or flare. The sample menu on their website was infintely better than the actual menu. That said the food was cooked well and was tasty, just it was an underwhelming experience in such a grand setting. Shame on the chef or the manager. Main courses included standard chicken, salmon, steak or veg option. BORING!

   But not to expect too much. The “spa” is terrible, bordering on disgusting. Mouldy pool, very basic steam room and sauna which didn’t work. Food at the hall is awful, like really bad. The breakfast was mediocre but the dinner was just horrible. A microwave meal. The building and grounds are beautiful. The basic rooms are just that.

   Lovely hotel and grounds. Driveway gives wrong impression but greatly needs some work. Food service was low, staff levels probably not managed that well and think higher level looking into. Would go again though.

   We had an evening meal on our first night in the restaurant which is the stunning Turnor room. The food were amazing, the chef cooks to perfection and the presentation of the food lovely. I especially liked the dessert. (fresh fruit served in a brandy snap basket with vanilla ice cream) Everything was served to us by a well presented young waiter called Brandon, he was pleasant, calm, well spoken and didn't rush us a waiter ever stately home restaurant would like to employ. Thank you Brandon... Definitely 4 stars and a top rating from us!!

    Food was very minimalistic. Just a choice of 4 starters, mains and desserts. Menu on the website is nothing like what's on offer. Bad spelling on the menu aswell. Restaurant is just a few tables and chairs thrown together. Odd cutlery and crockery. Lots of light bulbs not working. Definitely not 4 star standard food.
