   This was a very disappointing experience. Having eaten here in previous years, STK in the meatpacking district with a rooftop - how can you get that wrong and was expecting the previous years great time with great food. Clear that the servers are not that engaged in the room and more interested in playing around at the bar with each other so that wasn't a great start and despite a quiet restaurant just struggled to get any attention for water , drinks etc etc I had a $78k New York strip. It was appalling and clearly been frozen and unfrozen and just a general lack of care and attention from the top down in that restaurant. Never written a review before but this was so bad I wanted to share and call this poor management out. Owners - Please send a secret dinner in as you should be concerned.

   We came early and was able to be sitted immediately. The server came over within 5-7 mins to take our order. The only had 2 servers at the time, but the pace was great. We were finish eating within an hour and a half after taking our order and servicing the food, which was amazing. I think the rooftop needs a facelift to make it more upscale and or modest. Tiles were broken and when you step it sinks down. They had a mat covering it. The price doesn’t match the food. The server upsell us without informing us it was an extra $13 for umami butter. The sides cost was high also- $20 for sides? The entrees prices isn’t worth the quality and or quantity. Free range chicken with peas and beans for $52? Overall I’ll say a 3 stars.

   The food was great! Cheesesteak egg rolls for the win. For my entree I had the braised beef rib. It was nice and tender. Mashed potatoes melts in your mouth. Our server Jonah was very nice and welcoming.

   First time I’ve ever sent food back. Ordered the bone in Cowgirl ribeye for $103, medium rare. First one they brought me was medium well+ and barely pink in the center. Waitress agreed that it was over and brought me out a new one. This one was under, but I like a rare steak so still ate it. However, for $103, that steak should be perfect the first time, or at least the second time. The service was the redeeming quality. Our server was top-notch, super friendly and attentive. Vibes on the rooftop are cool so that’s a plus as well. But overall, for what it is, overpriced.

   Our experience was disappointing, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend it based on both the service and food quality. The rooftop patio, while a great setting, was severely understaffed, with only one server managing all the tables. As a result, service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. When they did, my order was completely different from what I had requested—an unnecessarily elaborate version that did not taste good. Appetizers arrived but were served without silverware, leaving us waiting yet again. When our entrées were finally brought to the table, we realized we hadn’t been given steak knives, requiring another delay before we could even begin eating. Unfortunately, the steaks were not cooked to the requested temperatures and were noticeably lacking in flavor. We considered sending one back, but no one checked on us after our meals were served. By the time a server finally returned, we had lost interest in trying to fix the meal and simply asked for the check so we could leave before the rain started. While we were initially excited to dine here, the combination of slow service, overlooked details, and lackluster food made for a disappointing evening.

   Waited about 45 minutes for a table after reservation time. The table that they said would be ours was empty and just needed to be cleaned for that entire time. After waiting 45 minutes we decide to go else where that would appreciate our business.
