   5 reasons to avoid STK 1. It is definitely NOT a steak house! No idea how they get away with that in the name. 2. Menus are on flimsy paper, no real menus. More like a bad diner menu. 3. Starters come literally right away after you order, like they have been sitting there cold waiting to go. Feeling of fast food just delivered as quickly as possible. 4. Red wine list fits on 1 page. 5. Whiskey sour was terrible. This place is more like an upscale TGI Fridays, if you like that then this is for you. We googled for a nice steakhouse before this trip. Did not overly research, but this place came up with high ratings, it was in the nice meat packings area too and had “Steakhouse” in its name. How bad could it be? Yep it’s bad. Hope this helps some other tourists.

   I went on a Tuesday which is Date Night special for $69 that was a trick I end up spending $700 for what idk it was horrible never again. But I must say the food was great it was just the misleading information on the price.

   STK never ever disappoints our from the hostess greeting us with “we have a birthday today Happy birthday” to our waiter Mel to treating us to the best service in NYC! Made my 60th birthday very special. Bravo as always

   I’m had such an incredible experience celebrating my anniversary at STK Meatpacking. The service from Coren was excellent !! Also, the food and ambiance was top notch h ! Steaks were cooked perfectly! I can’t say enough good things!! We will definitely be returning !

   STK Meatpacking never disappoints, but their Steak Night Dinner Deal truly takes things to the next level. The music and atmosphere make it feel more like an upscale lounge than a traditional steakhouse, and I loved every second of it. The steak night deal is an absolute steal for the quality you get. My steak was cooked to perfection. Our server Korine was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Already looking forward to the next visit!

   Adam made sure, everything was on point for the experience, also my truffle butter came along perfectly fine, always has been a great experience for myself.

   There are mixed feelings about this review because we have been at STK many times but obviously not in the last few years and everything has changed so much. I have to start with our waiter, omg what a horrible attitude. He was rude, told us he knew what he was doing and not to tell him how to do his job when we were letting him know one glass needed water. The food was great I won’t lie about that; everything else was an awful experience.

    All areas of service security at front, servers and bartenders were all very good. Hostess that you check in with on 1st floor, not welcoming or friendly and when you get to the 4th floor same. Same training and expectations for rest of staff should apply to the hostesses as that’s your first interaction after security and it was not friendly or welcoming to the extent of if I didn’t have such a large party I would’ve left. Servers and bartender were very nice, and even when something wasn’t available offered other options, food was amazing. I would probably go to other location which is my go to if you are looking for a more calm vibe. The fast pace of this one and over crowding wasn’t my speed.
