   I've been there twice recently and had the Tex Mex salad both times. I don't usually give reviews, but these guys deserve it as the flavour was amazing, the beef was super tender and the salad was fresh and healthy. Friends had the grilled barramundi and said it was great too. Well done!

   The meals were well received by the big eaters. Initially they ordered lamb ribs and the owner advised that the lamb ribs were a bit chewy at the moment & they may like to reconsider their orders. They changed to beef ribs & beef brisket and it was excellent! Owners honesty was much appreciated. All meals were generous in size. Glad I only chose one piece of fish with my salad & chips - it was more than enough. Hubby had 2 pieces & struggled to finish but he did because it was so good, fresh & cooked to perfection. Great food, good value, nice atmosphere in this little country pub. Only criticism, the mark up on a local wine seemed excessive.

   Great food, great service and always such a great atmosphere! We love the star hotel for difference in pub meals. The flavours and quality are always second to none, and the staff are so lovely and welcoming.

   As it was New Year’s Eve, all tables were booked but The Star was able to squeeze in 4 more peeps to join the NYE trivia night with Gary. Great night, full off laughs and loved my burger.

   We ordered 2 x porterhouse steaks that were like boot leather. Staff did not care. Never again waste of money.

   The Star Hotel service, politeness and enthusiasm of the staff was very good and our group enjoyed a good get-together. My meal was, however, not up to standard. The mashed potato and the other vegetables (other than greens) were very dry. Consequently, I ate only fish and broccolini. In spite of not enjoying the meal, I would still go to the Star Hotel again and order something different. It appears that the pizza was a very popular order and was enjoyed by others on our table.

   Love the Star at Yack. Whenever Sydney friends visit its my go to for a lunch or dinner experience.

    Fabulous place for a family get together. Outstanding service and fresh, unique and tasty food. The staff are so accommodating . I can’t speak highly enough of this place!! Go there!!!
