   Took my husband and our friend for a birthday dinner. DELICIOUS. Great wine, great appetizer (duck confit fries of YUM), terrific entrees and delicious dessert. Will absolutely be back!

   All the food was great. The duck was definitely the star, but the steak and crispy brussel sprouts were also delicious. The wine list was reasonably priced and our server Avery was helpful, kind, and informative. Highly recommend this new Pacific Grove spot!

   Personally, I'm not a fan of any main dish covered in sauce. But for my first time I thought I'd have my duck as they serve it at Spotted Duck! It was okay but I wish the sauce was on the side so I could really taste the actual duck. Our server was a loser. Kept forgetting things. Maybe he was high. And what fine restaurant doesn't provide a free dessert in honor of a birthday?! I was dining there ON my day and.....got nothing. Server presented the dessert we actually ordered and charged us for it and.....FORGOT THE CANDLE. Ah yes, it's the little things....

   An excellent meal. The sole disappointment was the pot de Creme for the dessert. All other selections were outstanding

   Excellent on all counts! Amazing what this little gem of a restaurant turns out & the value it provides — the wine list is so varied & reasonably priced, I was concerned they must lose money on it.

   The food was excellent. Well prepared and served promptly and friendly. Noise level was high on a Saturday night with a large group.

   The Spotted Duck is consistently delicious with excellent service. We had several appetizers - soup, salad, and oysters. For dinner - the burger, lamb gnocchi, and duck risotto. Dessert was an amazing lemon curd with berries and a brown butter shortbread cookie.

    We originally discovered Spotted Duck on our 11/2023 trip, and it was by far the highlight of our dining in the area. We were eager to return but couldn't get back before now - so this was the first restaurant I reserved as I did our trip planning! SD more than met our expectations and once again, the meal here was judged #1 by me and Spouse, out of the 8 restaurants we dined at. Love the light-as-air duck liver mousse, and the duck breast entree was divine. Spouse had the rock cod, which was fresh and perfectly cooked. Kudos to Chef/Owner Jerry Regester for a clever re-discovery of an old English recipe for a custard-like creation using Meyer lemons but no need for ruinously expensive eggs! Service is excellent, parking is easy in Pacific Grove - what are you waiting for? GO!
