   This place was FANTASTIC! I am not usually a fan of pork chops, but the way they described the cold-smoking method and the ability to serve it on the less-done side, convinced me to try it and I was impressed! It was moist and very flavorful. Our server was great and helped us navigate the menu to specific choices that we all wanted. I would highly recommend this place. We were there on a business meal and it worked out great, but the ambiance is also great for a nice dinner date as well.

   Went for brunch, food was just meh. Paid a lot for food we didn't enjoy. Service was fine but probably won't revisit.

   Hard upsell before we even ordered our first glass, but overall, it was a nice place to bring visitors to the South.

   Trout was pretty dry, rib eye very fatty but cooked well, pork chop was not very tender .

   Went in for a Sunday Brunch. This was my second time there for a Sunday Brunch and was a completely different experience than the first time. This time, they had a lounge singer with an acoustic guitar player serenading everyone, but the space is much too small for such loud speakers. None of us could hear each other talk. The singer was great and did a lot of Frank Sinatra, but it is just too loud and poorly planned for the space. The food was just meh in comparison to what I got the first time. The first time I got the King Biscuit which was pretty good. This time I got the standard breakfast and it just wasn't worth the price. The espresso martini was great as were the biscuits served in a basket. I would like to try this for dinner, but I am not sure I would come back for Sunday Brunch. The ambiance is very nice and a great setting for a romantic dinner.

   Main entree menu was limited. Need more items. Maybe sea bass, salmon or grilled chicken We had fried chicken and the trout. Both we lacking taste. Fish was dry.

   I was disappointed with South City Kitchen this morning. SCK has been a favorite place for our MeetUp group for many years. This morning exposed both a significant lack of proper training as well as a decline in the quality of the food. First of all, before my challenges with SCK this morning, I want to compliment the excellent service we received by Mohan. Mohan has been our favorite server for a few years now and his excellent service has not waned. I hosted eight members of our Celebrate Atlanta MeetUp group for brunch this morning. Several of us ordered the SCK item with two scrambled eggs, their signature bacon, and grits. The bacon and grits were excellent, however while the eggs were properly cooked, the portion looked like one extra large egg or maybe two small eggs, but doubtful. Everyone who ordered the eggs was disappointed in the portion. For $19, it was not worth the price. As far as the improper training is concerned, one of the members arrived ahead of me and inquired about the table. Our reservation was for 10:45am. The reply to her was brusque that our reservation was not until 10:45. SCK was not busy at the time, even if the table had not been bussed, a simple "we will seat you as soon as your table is ready" would have been better than the abrupt response. When I arrived and made the same request, I was met with the same response, and I felt it was on the cusp of being rude. The amazing thing is that it was THE MANAGER who met us with this response in both cases. In addition to this, in the middle of this very nice and slightly upscale restaurant is a small bussing station with a beautiful flower arrangement. It looked like a cheap diner with two large containers of sanitizing wipes, stacks of plates, and water pitchers on top, completely degrading the ambiance of the dining room. I spoke to the manager, who was genuinely apologetic. Our group does not want to return for brunch as a result of this experience.

   I use to be a huge fan of South City. I do think they need to reinvent their menu. It's a lot of the same old stuff and the entrees aren't that great anymore. Their lunch menu definitely needs to be revamped.

   So I haven’t eaten here in a couple of years and it wasn’t as great as I remembered. Salmon was too salty but the new spring salad was good, but not for $18. I think our server was stoned and really the service was nothing more than mediocre. It was just okay.

    We had a fantastic meal! Biscuits were amazing and Fresh. We tried the new spinach side salad and split it. It was fabulous! I would reduce the dressing. It was a little too much, but still great. I had the fried chicken, collard greens and mashed potatoes, and my husband had the fresh trout. Both meals were very filling and delicious. Jonas gave us excellent service!
