An absolutely amazing experience. The venue is stunning with an authentic Japanese feel, location is central and the views over the river at sunset were just gorgeous. All the staff were so attentive and polite and the food was incredible.

the tasting platter was extensive and so fresh. each dish provided a taste into japanese culture. the ambiance also added as we were seated along the window that looked out onto the wharf. though expensive, sono is perfect for a special occasion.

We had a very enjoyable birthday dinner at Sono. Be prepared to take off your shoes before being seated. The menu has so many options, so too the wine list. As we often do at Japanese restaurants, we order several entrees to share, then a main tempura to share. All of them were superb. Our only problem was attracting a waiter's attention when we needed to order wine. We ended up asking a food sever to ask a wine waiter before we could place an order.

Simply incredible. The food was out of this world, and the service was the best I have ever experienced. We will well and truly travel the 2+ hours to dine at Sono again because it was simply magical.
