   Had a reservation for over a week. When we arrived the hostess said they had no WiFi so they didn’t have any online reservations saved. She found us a table and informed us that we were lucky to get it. Food was way too salty. The owner talked to the couple next to us loudly while leaning on the wall looming over us as we ate. Staff was untrained. Auctioning off food at the table as they brought it. Not great.

   We came here to celebrate 2 birthdays! Ambiance was excellent! Friendly waitstaff! Food was exceptional - all delish! Grilled octopus, Tuna tartar tower, Fried asparagus, Orecchiette with spicy sausage and broccoli rabe! Yum! They gave us 2 warm cookies with ice cream in top, with flasher candles. Great experience.

   We always have a wonderful dinner here and last night was no exception. Service is spot on. We are never rushed, the food is brought to the table piping hot in a nice pace. Everything was super delicious and the presentation lovely. Its hard to imagine I"m dining like this in Binghamton and not in a fancy big city. We tried the fried ice cream. A dessert that was shared between the 4 of us and we still could not finish it. It was so delicious, everything about it, the chocolate fudge sauce, the cinnamon ice cream, and best yet, in was GF! I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion as any dinner out is special and they certainly make it seem like you are the only one they are preparing for!

   Summary: All the food was excellent with a very pleasing presentation. Specifically: The sea bass was wonderful and the filet practically melted in our mouths. The wedge salad was fresh and crisp with dressings and toppings that were not overpowering. We also loved the asparagus fries and fried Buratta (a cheese). The "spicy" tuna tower was very tasty and not too spicy (I'm not big on "hot", so I enjoyed it) although there was one hot spot our granddaughter found (ooops). The cookie souffle was excellent. There were 6 of us and we shared everything having the sea bass and filet in the large plate size and small plates for everything else (like tapas). We would definitely do it again,

   Again a fantastic dinner and dining experience. We both had Seared Ahi Tuna and the presentation was too beautiful to eat but we did! Tuna was done perfectly. Everything was incredibly delicious! Dining out on the deck was perfect as well. Jay and his staff never disappoints. Thank you!

   Exceeded expectations. Will definitely be going back for the clams, octopus and the cookie soufflé.

   Overall pretty good. We ordered 4 tapas. The prices seemed high but the portions were more than you'd expect from tapas. The taquitos were tasty, I thought the chicken was a little dry but my wife liked it a lot. Pork belly was nice skewered with pineapple. Had to get the thai chili sauce on the side instead of as a glaze (waitress didn't make this request so had to send the dish back when the chef brought it to the table). Sticky Chicken Korean BBQ again was a little dry and not as tasty as expected. Shrimp and cabbage spring roll with peanut sauce (like saté) was refreshing and filling. The seats all need recovering, sitting on a chair where the vinyl is peeling was not an inviting way to start a meal. All the seating around us seemed the same. Our server seemed liked she didn't want to wait on us, nor give us attentive service. Maybe she was upset I didn't order a cocktail, only water. The place was not half full and a long time to get water and one cocktail for my wife. Didn't see much of her. She only brought one dish to the table, but was quick to bring a desert menu. Generally service seemed slow. Would recommend for something different in Binghamton. Not 5 stars.

    The food at Social on State is scrumptious and refined! Beef tenderloin and salmon shrimp appetizer were to die for. Lindsay the server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Love the music ♥️
