   I must start by saying that we had our whole meal comped. We waited an hour for our food and the waiter admitted that he had forgotten the order. There were two servers in the room and they seemed very disorganized, so it may have been that they were short staffed. Diners next to us had a similar experience and people sitting behind us left after a lengthy period without receiving so much as a drink.

   Our group had an amazing time in this wonderfully and interestingly designed space. Hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the host shared a little bit about this new space, and gave us a tour as we were very interested in the unique spaces that had been created from the bar to sitting areas.  All of the food we had from tostadas and french fries to burgers and the mushroom lettuce cups were packed with flavor and where fantastic.  Our only word with advice would be go there if you want beautifully crafted food  but know that the liquor prices are a bit steep.

   We were told that they needed our table by 7PM. We arrived on time 5:30PM ordered quickly and by 7PM our food still hadn’t arrived! It finally came out at 7:15 and everything was cold and not to order. The burger came out rare when we ordered it medium. Just one of the many things that made the evening not enjoyable.

   This chef is out of this world, the dishes were from a world class NYC restaurant. He mixed ingredients that you would think would not go together but they did. There were lots of vegetarian dishes so that made me happy. Menu is straight forward, one beef, one fish, one chicken dish and vegetarian accompaniments. Place was quiet, lighting was nice. I would return here to stay for the weekend again for sure.

   The place felt lifeless; was very empty on a Thursday night. The lighting in the dining room was far too bright. The service was slow and quite casual - didn’t match the upscale decor. Food was nice, not exceptional.

    This is a great venue, and I’ve had wonderful meals there in the past. This time, at the end of a busy holiday weekend the restaurant was understaffed, the service was slow and the food was mediocre. It’s not an expensive either, but I would go back and try it again. Sunday brunch is a better value.
