   We had a smashing lunch, sitting outside in the sunshine and enjoying the views. The lunch of small plates was delicious and every mouthful was full of flavour and texture. The team were great and really looked after us. We will definitely be back!

   Very happy with our lovely Easter Monday lunch today. John and the rest of the team kindly accommodated our larger-than-expected family party and made us very welcome. The food was delicious as usual and the lovely Hannah looked after us brilliantly. All perfect!

   The best restaurant on the Isle of Wight by far. The food was outstanding, absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented. Make sure you book in advance as this place is well worth it! The food and cocktails are fabulous. We enjoyed our small plates so much, we ordered more. We had Duck Breast, Pork Belly, Scallops, Peanut Noodles, Turnip Cake with Quails Egg and more and it was all exquisite. Try the Chilli Mango Margarita too! The staff are so friendly and great with recommendations and sea view is just beautiful. Thank you! We will be back.

   Our experience at ‘Smoking Lobster’ was fantastic! The service was attentive and professional and the food was absolutely delicious! The cocktails were also good but did take a while to arrive. Overall, it was an expensive but excellent gastronomic experience.

   Warm welcome from Manager Jonathan and staff. Excellent food as always. The food is well presented and so very tasty. Service very good. Good to see this local business doing well and busy. Treating customers well is the key to success. Recommend. We will return and continue to support.

   The food was great, the staff were friendly and there was a lovely view of the sea It was quite noisy with two tables with children - who were loving the food but were loud.

   I have visited this restaurant constant fairly regularly for about 5 years now and it has always featured amoungst my favourites and as a publican and a chef, I eat out on a fairly regular basis. Now, the food is absolutely delicious and very well sourced, presented and cooked. However, I do feel this time the portions were considerably smaller than on previous occasions, yet the price was considerably higher. My wife’s face when the food came out said it all, and unfortunately it was tough to come back from. I just hope this restaurant doesn’t slip into the net of high prices and small portions. People in general seem to accept and expect current price rises, but the food has to remain consistent or improved to warrant it. I will follow closely to see if I can convince my wife to give this restaurant another try, providing my opinion doesn’t become a trend…. and I by no means would not recommend eating here, but it would come with a consideration of someone’s hunger level and depth of pocket…. I hope this is an isolated opinion….
