   Meat was cold and even the replacement dish was cold. All seasoning was tubs, not sauce. Side items were great. The Wauwatosa location is Express, no waitress. They have just started this structure and I don't think people are liking it. Saw some people come in and leave right away.

   This was my first time at the Wauwatosa Smoke Shack, the place is very nice! I usually go to the one in Milwaukee, but the Milwaukee location is too small to accommodate the large group of 12 we had. The manager was great as was the service. I was disappointed that they did not have the same specialty bourbon drinks as the Milwaukee location, no smokey, maple bourbon drinks to be had! The bartender didn't have any suggestions , so I looked up a couple on my phone and we settled on a bourbon mule, which was tasty, but with all the great choices of top shelf bourbons at this place; I was disappointed to end up with a mule because it does not showcase the bourbon at all! The brisket was soooo very good! The ribs had fantastic flavor but were a bit dry, most of us had the brisket and ribs and one person had perfect ribs, however the rest of us had dry ribs. The pecan pie with bourbon ice cream, really is the best I have ever had!

   Good selection of craft beers and great recommendation by GeeGee for the stew. The restaurant was out of brisket and ribs and able to try meat that was already included in the stew

   I would recommend the Third Ward location, because the food and the atmosphere is great. The Tosa location feels like a sad, cheaper copy, more like a chain restaurant.

   Hi Emily - thank you for taking a moment to provide feedback. I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy our Tosa location as much as our Third Ward location.    Brisket was fatty and burnt. Chicken was cold and had hair in it. Mac and Cheese was dry and tasted as if it was microwaved. For the cost And quality i would skip this restaurant. We will not be back.

   I like the feel of the Tosa Smoke Shack... very similar to the downtown Milwaukee location. The service and ambience is great but not excellent but the food is excellent! My family of five had different variations of the combo meals and all the food for each one of us was fantastic, especially the brisket! a little on the expensive side but well worth it and I'll be back.

   My thumb was cut with a shard of glass that came from the rim of chipped mason jar my soda was served in. Bled quite a bit, area still sore. Server and manager showed concern and provided bandaid. Manager did comp our appetizer, would have appreciated no bill for such unfortunate experience.

   We made a reservation, although there were only 4 other tables occupied when we arrived (which should have been an indication of what was to come). We were seated by a very lively hostess, and we were greeted by our waiter with water. I immediately asked for a straw, he said he’d be ‘right back’ with one. He came back moments later and asked if we were ready to order. We were not but I again asked for a straw. Again, I was told he’d be right back with it. When he returned to take our order, without a straw, we ordered and he walked away. Our food was on the table within 6 minutes. In most instances that would be great, but our food was cool...not straight from the fridge cold, but now straight form the oven hot either. I told the waiter my food was cold and he said “I am sorry to hear that.” I asked if there was a remedy for this and only then did he take the food back to the kitchen to warm it. He brought it back, we ate. He checked on us one time, I again asked for a straw. He came back when we were done eating with a straw, and before taking our plates he produced the check. The $ was placed in the billfold, he took it and asked if we were expecting change. We said “no” and he walked away. I would expect shoddy-ish service if the restaurant were full of patrons, but two tables had left by the time our order was taken. That left us and 2 other tables. There was a man who came from the back who asked how everything was, not sure who he was but at least he cared to ask. I told him I wasn’t impressed with the food or our server. He apologized and disappeared. We did also! I will not be going back for a myriad of reasons; unfriendly and inattentive waitstaff, food was levels below ‘meh’ and was not worth the time it took to get dressed and drive to this location. Also, one very small cornbread muffin was $2.25...it may have been worth $1 at best. Don’t waste your time on this very inauthentic BBQ, unless you’ve never had REAL SOUTHERN BBQ.
