Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. The sweeping waterfront view is showcased by full pane glass windows throughout the restaurant which you can enjoy no matter where you dine. The covered patio dining area, and massive outdoor bar, the shark bar, allows patrons to enjoy the Lowcountry climate and serve to further highlight the amazing sunset views over skull creek. If you are concerned about long wait times, the good news is the restaurant accepts reservations and provides a family recreation area between dockside and boathouse. Kids and adults can enjoy a variety of games, the very popular shark bar and 'shrimp boat' playground. Kids can play while families are waiting for a table, or simply enjoying the amazing waterfront views.

Sat outside, beautiful view. Food excellent, service the best. We bring all our company there! Liked that they are flexible with substituting sides on their early bird menu.

We come here all the time but tried a few new thing and they were so ridiculously wonderful —- Tuna Deviled Eggs to die for I had vegetable farrar with filet in it — wonderful !

We had a truly delightful experience! Ambience was lively and fun. The view overlooking the water with the sun setting was breathtaking. Our server Jamie was so attentive, warm, and friendly that we felt like we had private service. She made our evening special. The cuisine was an absolute 10 for all six of us! Most of us got the Dockside Seafood Combo that was mouthwatering delicious! We celebrated a birthday and the restaurant was fine with us bringing in our own "Bundt cupcakes," while Jamie helped us light the little cupcake sparkler. The manager was also so accommodating and helpful. We had one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've ever had on the island - or anywhere!

My husband had the seafood platter and I had stuffed trout. Both entrees were delicious. Our server was also exceptional I love that Skull Creek Dockside takes reservations.

Loved the fried chicken livers. My wife had wedge salad with fried oysters - were best this trip. I had fried flounder and shrimp. Flounder was fried perfectly - tender and flaky. Server was attentive. Will go back soon.

Wait staff was exceptional with a "quiet" presence and only as necessary allowing my guest and I to enjoy the quiet beauty of the intercoastal waterway and the wonderful weather for outdoor dining. Perfect! (Ask for a table at the south end of the patio; best viewing)

Our server Dre was wonderful! He took our orders quickly and made suggestions when we asked. Our drinks and appetizers came quickly and he checked on us often. Dinners were delicious and the portions were big. We didn't feel rushed at all even though the restaurant was busy. Definitely coming here again!

Best brunch on Hilton Head! Beautiful outdoor seating. Although it was Easter, service was pretty good. Food was great!
