Very average or below average quality food. Most of the dishes were not even salted properly or under spiced. The service was unwelcoming, slow and generally not organized. A combination of below average food and service means that this place can be skipped if possible. Find better options in the area.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced Russian restaurant in Brighton Beach then this is the place. The food is great but it is easy to over order. They also had a DJ who also played saxophone and sang. You are also welcome to get up and dance if you like.

The worst Russian restaurant I have ever been to! Food has no taste, the Duck salad was disgusting mush mixed with greens, it tasted awfully. My chicken kebab was practically tasteless, no seasoning, served with tasteless tomato sous. My husband's lamb chops were overcooked and not seasoned. Nothing was good in that Skovorodka place: obnoxious and unprofessional waiters serving poor quality food under laud awful music accompaniment . Next day I woke up with a sleeting headache, although I did not have any alcohol . I would not recommend this place to anybody, if they don't want their day to be spoiled and money wasted.

That was the weirdest place. We had reservation for 9pm and came in 9:05 pm and they said that we can't get a table cause they are closing, but the closing time was 10 pm. Weird weird weird but finally they let us sit down. Food was good, place very entertaining. But the manager or the owner who ever that person was at the door, needs to rethink what is a good customer service. Cause they did make us very uncomfortable in the beginning. If it woulodn't b a late night, we would've went somewhere else.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Skovorodka, as they did not honor our reservation. We were coming to Coney Island for the day, and used OpenTable to find a place to eat. We looked at several restaurants, and Skovorodka showed openings all day long. We made our reservations before leaving Manhattan, over an hour in advance, and headed to the restaurant. We go their early, but were told they didn't have any space for us and that we should have made our reservations at least a day before. We were turned away, and had to find another place to eat. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I cannot rate the food, as we didn't get to eat. One of the biggest values of OpenTable is that we can find a restaurant near us at any time, and see if there are openings, rather than calling multiple places. Skovorodka has hurt the OpenTable brand by not honoring this reservation.

Restaurant did not honor OpenTable reservation and canceled too close to reservation time for us to reschedule another restaurant to celebrate my Mother's 70th birthday. Very disappointing.
