About this restaurant

For over 20 years now, Sixto’s Cantina’s owners, Francesca Tashjian and Teresa Lindhartsen have been business partners and part of the Burlingame community. They also own Alana’s Café, just a few doors down from Sixto’s Cantina, which has been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner since 1993. Throughout the past 10 years they became known for their Mexican Wednesday specials, which consistently sold out. Friends and customers encouraged them to branch out with their Chef Benjamin Prieto, and open a Mexican restaurant featuring his creative dishes. Sixto’s Cantina is named after Benjamin's late father, a kind man who loved to cook and raised a family of 16 in the little town of Cuquio, Mexico. Chef Benjamin's home-style Mexican food is served in a refreshing, relaxing atmosphere. He adds seasonal dishes to complement Sixto’s artisanal cocktail menu which features the finest spirits and tequilas,and are a great match with the food. Patio and sidewalk dining are available.
