Shore Leave is our interpretation of a tropical escape through the lens of our love for Boston’s rich dining scene.

Named after a sailor’s leisure time on dry land, Shore Leave’s tropical cocktails take you away from the hustle and bustle. This space, music, and our Shore Leave team, make every moment here feel like watching the sun go down with your feet in the sand. Off the main drag, just below the street in Boston’s South End, Shore Leave brings you on an everyday vacation.

Options are available for Regular Dining, Omakase Counter, or Bar/Lounge.
We do not take reservations for "just drinks" in our dining room. Bar and lounge reservations are available for up to 8 guests Sunday-Thursday 5-7pm.

We ID at the door. Underage guests are permitted but not at the bar.

Live entertainment! On Fridays Shore Leave hosts Drag Race watch party at 8pm and The People's Karaoke at 10pm. Entertainment varies so call or check our social media (@shoreleavebos) for details!

    Join us at the Sushi Counter at Shore Leave for a fast & fun take on a tasting menu! If you are not familiar with Omakase, it translates to "I trust you"; you are trusting the sushi chef to curate your meal of approximately 12 courses. Expect a variety of bites including nigiri, sashimi, and tempura. This experience is quick paced so that you can enjoy the nigiri the moment it is made—as soon as you finish one piece, you’re handed the next by our sushi chef, who is right in front of you at the counter. Come early or stay late to enjoy cocktails and extra bites at Shore Leave’s bar! Your Omakase experience will be $85 per person not including tax or gratuity and will be approximately 12 courses.

    Food was good but the drinks were over the top strong. Definitely not a good Polynesian drink. Just more of a punch you in the face straight alcohol.

    Shore Leave never disappoints! We had great food and drinks, and the waitstaff is fantastic. A bit offbeat and unique!

    Expensive but delicious. We got tons of plates to share for a group of five and also got flaming shots for the birthday girl. Awesome ambience and lighting too

    The drinks were outstanding! The food was delicious..and the staff were very friendly. The speakeasy /tiki vibe was cool. Great place for a date. Definitely would go again.

    We loved this restuarant! From the greeting at the door through the wait staff everything was great! The drinks and food were fantastic. We will be back often!

    Amazing food, really fun Omakase experience, but make sure to check their karaoke schedule as the two massive speakers are blasting right next to the omakase bar lol. Still super fun and will definitely be going back.

    Would absolutely recommend. My wife and I had an assortment of the menu items in both drink and food. Everything we tasted was finely crafted. Service was impeccable. Great attention to detail for every item. If I were local to Boston, I'd be a regular at Shore Leave. Looking forward to my next visit.
