The place was closed for renovations. For whatever reason, Open Table accepted my reservation. Not saying that its Open Tables fault, however, there needs to be some coordination between Open Table and the restaurants

Shinsen is an amazing hidden gem located in the Bowery area. Forget your typical Joe Shangahi's next door and GO TO THIS SPOT! Amazing food, excellent quality and lovely ambiance. The owner Tony is a sweetheart who makes it a point to check on his guests, which you do not typically see anymore in NY restaurants. They have a trendy sake lounge hidden in the back that is a must check out. The spicy tuna rice was one of my favorite cakes was one of my favorite items. Will definitely be back!

The service was horrible some of our guest never got there food and we had to leave after 1 1/2 hours.

Although some of the food items we were served were adequate (the salad and soup are actually quite good, the California roll was atrociously salty and had an unusual texture), the service was extremely slow even though the restaurant was empty. A frustrating experience.

Very poor service. The manager was not present so the waitress had to call to ask about our pulsd deal and some of things mentioned in the pulsd deal were not available. Service was very slow, it took almost 45 min to get our first drink. The place was also empty. Would not go back

The services were fine. The food wasn’t as good as I expected and they ran out of what I wanted and didn’t let me know until I had placed my order. Also the wait between the food was kind of long.

The food was good but not outstanding. The staff was very nice. They just didn't have sake bloody marys on the day I went for Saturday brunch.
