    Experience the best of Shimogamo with our Omakase menu, which means “leave it up to you”. Our expert staff will curate a menu, tailored to your preferences and dietary restrictions. Please note that this is NOT a customly created chef's tasting course, but rather a compilation of our existing menu and specials of the day. Designed for sharing, this menu is perfect for groups of two or more and requires a minimum of two guests. To ensure availability, reservations are required. The Omakase menu is priced per person and excludes tax and gratuity. Beverages are not included in the course but can be added at an additional cost. Please allow approximately two hours for a party of two, and three hours or more for larger groups.

This rare and captivating performance honors centuries of Japanese culinary craftsmanship, bringing you closer to the source of the finest sushi in the world. Following the cutting, guests will indulge in a gorgeous 10-course dinner meticulously curated by our Executive Chef Daisuke Itagaki. Each course showcases different parts of the bluefin—toro, akami, kama, and more—prepared with the utmost respect and technique, celebrating the full potential of this majestic fish. This is not just dinner—it is a one-night-only cultural and culinary journey. The entire evening is devoted solely to this event.     Food was amazing as usual. But the server tonite seemed a little off. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and small dishes and the wagyu ribeye. After about 30 mins, the ribeye came out first. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m pretty sure steak should have been the last thing served, certainly not the first. Other than that the food was top tier as usual.

    Always get great service here and although it’s on the pricey side, the quality of their sashimi is one of the best in Phoenix

    Excellent all around. Sat at the sushi bar. Cocktails were clever and tasty. All the food was fresh and delicious. The oxtail roll was different but amazing.

    Best Japanese food we have had in AZ. Closest to what we had in Japan. We have gone back several times.

    This place is slightly smaller and more casual than the other location, but the food could not have been better, and the service was sweet and friendly and unpretentious. Yes, it’s not cheap, but it’s also not overpriced. Everything was superb, and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Truly wonderful. We were there on a weeknight when it was very quiet, so I can’t speak to what the noise level might be like on a weekend. We really had a lovely evening of conversation and exceptional food.

    We enjoyed the Omakase experience very much, the food and service were both top tier. Taste, freshness, creativity, presentation -- all outstanding. I can't recommend them enough, they are on a completely different level than any sushi restaurant in the east valley, if not the Phoenix metro itself.

    The food was phenomenal. Service was great in the beginning but kind of tapered off. Not sure if they were just trying to give us space and time but the gal was talking to the kitchen staff for awhile (you can see into the kitchen) and then walked by us 4 times before I flagged her down. Still great and will go back!

    I enjoyed our experience at Shimogamo. The drinks, food and service were all excellent. Next time, we'll try the Oaks experience.
